Extremely Disrespectful Service Experience - Will Not Return!
I am deeply disappointed with the disrespectful behavior my family and I experienced during our recent visit. We have been long-time customers, but after the treatment we received from an employee named Gina, we will never set foot in this establishment again.
As parents of twin toddlers, dining out can be a bit challenging, but we have always appreciated restaurants that create a welcoming atmosphere for families. Unfortunately, Gina showed zero patience and respect towards us when we simply asked for a fork and a plate. Instead of accommodating our request, she responded with disdain, calling us "annoying" right to our faces. It was shocking and completely uncalled for.
I would like to clarify that we cannot definitively say whether Gina's remark was motivated by hatred towards Jewish people or any other religious or ethnic group. However, it is crucial to mention that such a statement is highly inappropriate, regardless of the context. If there are concerns about discriminatory behavior within the establishment, I strongly recommend a thorough investigation by the management to ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all customers.
Not only did Gina's behavior ruin our dining experience, but it also left us feeling unwelcome and disrespected. As a result, I feel compelled to share this awful encounter with other parents. They deserve to know about the lack of professionalism and patience exhibited by the staff, especially when it comes to families with children.
I sincerely hope that the management of this establishment takes this complaint seriously. It is crucial for them to address this issue promptly and ensure that their employees are trained to provide exceptional customer service. Until then, I cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone. Our family will be taking our business elsewhere, where we will be treated with the respect we deserve.
Save yourself the frustration and disappointment and find a restaurant that values and appreciates...
Read moreI is the first time I ever even write a review. I was there today with my mother and we were treated very badly. My Mom have a chronic disease. She would have a sensation of not being able to breathe, then cough and spit. She has been to multiple specialist, had multiple CT-scans and have multiple treatment that are somewhat effective. Today, she had multiple spells back to back. After one of these spell, the manager yell at us from the register : go to the bathroom. You should stop doing this. I can’t remember all what she said but was very annoyed and was very aggressive, yelling accros the coffeeshop. My mother is very self-conscious about this and for some time she wouldn’t even go out anymore. People of a certain age have certain disease. She is not contagious. Not accepting that is a lack of tolerance and agism. My mom was going to apologize for her disturbance but I stopped her. I tried to talk to that person but she dismissed me with a hand gesture. I mean she decided to have lunch 10 sec after yelling at us. I then explained to a person of the staff that my mom had a chronic condition and that’s not nice to yell at people and make them feel as they are not welcome in the society. She said that we should have chosen the table next to the bathroom on the back for east access because other customers were bothered. Again, people have different condition and by law should not be mistreated because of that. She can’t run not able to breath to spit hiding from everyone because it bother. She use a tissu and turn her head trying to bother other as less as possible. I hope that the person would read this and know that you should not judge people without knowing. I regret bringing my mother to a place where she was reminded of her condition and hope that this won’t stop her from going out again. I won’t be back there because I don’t support intolerance and aggressive behavior. It’s a shame because the coffee is good and the decoration is...
Read moreMy only complaint about this place is I wish it were bigger (it's pretty big) and open later 🤩! I've been going here for a few years. The staff make it a point to get to know their regulars who they treat very well. From my 1st visit they've always treated me pleasantly & respectfully (and all their customers from what I've seen). I've had breakfast, smoothies, sandwiches, pastries, appetizers and desserts here and they've all been great. I've never been disappointed. I'm critical about what i pay for food vs taste. You won't be disappointed eating here and the portions are good. Ohhh... do try the Matador and egg sandwich. The empanadas here are to die for!!! I'm forever hooked on their strawberry passion fruit coconut smoothie which i get regularly (sometimes with protein). Which explains why i'd want the place to be bigger. Their customers come back and they're always attracting new ones. At peak times there can be a line (which can result in a 10 minute wait at most) but it's worth it. The free wifi for customers make this a good place to work or do school work. The music playing in the background and the soccer playing on the TV weekends also make this a good place to chill for a bit. Accessibility. For my wheelchair user friends it is accessible via a ramp to the right of the door (past the Subway & theater entrance). Hope...
