The interaction with the staff member was highly concerning. As an African American customer shopping with my daughter, I was unfairly singled out and asked if I had paid for an item before I had even had the chance to approach the counter. This appears to be a clear case of racial profiling and bias. When I then requested an item from behind the counter, the staff member responded with an exasperated sigh and proceeded to slam down both my order and my daughters order. This level of obnoxious and unprofessional behavior is completely unacceptable in a customer service setting. Additionally, the staff member had their AirPods in for the entirety of the interaction, without even a basic apology or acknowledgement of the poor service. As a former general manager with over a decade of experience, I can say with certainty that this conduct falls well outside the bounds of acceptable customer relations policies. I would urge you to review this incident closely and take appropriate disciplinary action. Customers, especially those from minority backgrounds, deserve to be treated with respect and dignity, not subjected to racial bias and rude, dismissive behavior. This was my first exlerince at 7-eleven store and i was in a bit of hurry as my uber ride had arrived. I have bought 1.7oz M&M 2 packs and wss charged 8.70$. I remeber seeing a board saging they are of 1$ but i was in a hurry and i couldnt check much that time. As i was buying from a reputated store in the US, i thought they are genuine. Later when i bkarded the cab, i googled the price and i understood i was scammed and charged 4X times the original price at the store. The person at the counter is a non american guy and just during billing he diverted my attention by arguing domethi g with his other employee. I never exoected such things happening at India in any reputated store. I request the 7-elevn management to check the cctv camera of today around 3:30 PM and ensure no such incidents haolen in future.
