10/10 - Highly recommend if you have an injury thatās affecting your day to day life & you want to get back to normal!
Back in February, I started having severe back pain, which later ended up radiating down my right leg. There were multiple days where I had to call into work because I couldnāt even walk, let alone put on a shoe or sock because the pain was so bad.
First, I tried a chiropractor who seemed to only make things worse. After getting an MRI, I learned that I have a large herniated disc impinging on the nerves down both of my legs. The doctor wrote me a script for PT so I went to the only chain that took my insurance. I would go 3x a week, and some days I would leave in more pain than I came in with. After months of frustration, I was referred to Moment by one of my old OTF coaches.
I love that they offer a free consultation call because Kristi made me feel comfortable from the start and explained that many clients that end up at Moment come from the same frustrating background. I was originally referred to Andy but he wasnāt taking new clients at the time, so she matched me with Justin Baharally!
Justin is awesome - from day 1 when we had our consultation, I FINALLY felt relief and knew I was going to be in good hands. He took the time to listen & his biggest goal was to get me back to my normal routine of running, taking class, etc. (meanwhile the first PT place basically told me not to move and to just be patient everytime I asked..)
We started off basic, learning what irritated the nerve and what didnāt, and he taught me breathing exercises to use morning, night, and in case of a flare up. Every week we would build on that and add in some more functional exercises and training. He also sends an updated program after every session to follow on your own! Today was my 8th session with Justin and the first time I have ran since FEBRUARY! I am also back to OTF 2x/week, with modifications. A few months ago, I couldnāt imagine a day without my heating pad, my stim machine, and some ice, all 3 at once..LOL, but I havenāt needed any of that since I started working with Justin. I am finally feeling ānormalā which I thought I might never feel again!! We also have fun during our sessions which is a plus!
Moment is expensive, but 100% worth it. I would have paid any amount of money to be out of the pain that I was in! So thank you all - I...

Read that quote, read it again, and understand that this is the ethos of Andy who runs the show at Moment PTP, the words intimating how Moment was born out of what was seen as not being done or done well in the worlds of rehab and performance. The amalgamation of skill and care that exist in this practice simply do not exist in many other practices.
Andy has had such a major impact on my life through the services that are offered through Moment. When I felt as if I was going to need surgery on my shoulder after 17 years of combat sports, Andy took me on 2 days notice, carefully spent time developing a thorough and clear performance based plan that was designed reactively through the in-person session, and hit me with a follow-up email that changed not only my shoulder, but my own practice as a strength and performance coach.
This man KNOWS his craft, CARES, and holds the honest objective of making sure he does not see you again--this is made possible through the depth and breadth of his knowledge and the stand up man he is. Nothing about him or this facility--fully curated by his team to ensure you won't find a place better equipped to address rehab AND performance--is done primarily for money. Obviously this is a business and no one works for free, but Andy does this purely for the good of seeing people improve their quality of life, chase their physical potential, and for the love of the game.
Bottom Line--you will be taken care of here. Doubting that and thinking of going elsewhere? Chances are if the person is a big name, Andy has taken the time to learn from them, and apply that knowledge to his already superlative framework that is paired with high level treatment of people's fears and feelings about their pain and limitations.
You will not need to shop around for answers after walking through the doors at Moment...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have every diagnosis under the sun - borderline hip dysplasia, right hip labrum tear, left shoulder labrum tear, meniscus tear, hamstring injury, achilles injury, back injury, groin injury... when I first met with Dr. Kristi of Moment PTP I was utterly broken and hopeless (especially after countless negative experience with other PTs and orthos), but I was inspired by the fact that she, too, had a hip labrum tear and was doing all these amazing feats of strength. As a mountain biker, my ability to hinge and squat had become seriously limited with the labrum tear and the general tightening of my body; the loss of this passion was utterly crushing and I was close to "accepting" that this was just the way it was.
Over the course of two years she addressed every last one - EVERY last one - of my injuries to where I was solidly and confidently tearing up trails on my mountain bike, running, moving like myself again, and even training for an RKC kettlebell certification because I had fallen in love with this form of training during the rehab process. I had dreams again, goals again, the desire to race a 100-mile gravel race. All suddenly possible again. That's what Moment truly achieves āĀ your dreams.
As fate would have it (or really: what happens when you go hard), a year ago I injured my back and it snowballed into the worst injury recovery process I've ever experienced. The pain, negativity, and fear consumed me for months, but I kept showing up, knowing the Moment team was doing everything in their collective power to get me back to where I was. I have no doubt we'll...
