Absolutely disappointed with Aldo and their customer service.
I purchased a pair of heels from Aldo in NYC on May 25 at 1:00 PM, and wore them for the first time after returning to Canada. They turned out to be extremely uncomfortable and unwalkable. Since Aldo offers a 60-day return policy, I planned to return them the next time I was in NYC.
Fast forward to July 25, I was back in the city and went to the same store exactly 60 days later, arriving at around 2:30 PM. Shockingly, the staff refused to accept the return, saying I had missed the 60-day return window by 1 hour claiming that I needed to return the shoes before 1:00 PM on the 60th day. Iâve never heard of a return policy being time-sensitive down to the hour and this was never mentioned at purchase.
Even after explaining that I had travelled from Canada to return them, the staff (especially the cashier on July 25 around 4 PM) was rude and dismissive. My friend spoke on my behalf when it became clear they were just finding excuses not to process the return, likely because it wasnât purchased from that specific store and they didnât want to take the loss.
After several polite attempts, we had no choice but to leave with the unworn shoes.
If youâre someone who values respectful service and fair policies especially as a customer traveling across borders, think twice before shopping at Aldo. This was an incredibly frustrating experience that left a bad taste. Girls, support brands that support you this store...

You would think, as much money as the store makes it would have cameras installed inside or outside the premises for the customers protection. Incidents such as some one stealing merchandise from the store or customers belonging/ ex. purse can be stolen. By installing cameras NYPD could identify perpetrators who are stealing from these department stores and put a stop to these shoplifters. I was a victim of theft at this shoe department store i was very upset to find out there was no way of tracking the person who stole my purse.
