Brookfield Place / Battery Park City — Local services in New York

Love taking the ferry to and from work between Brookfield place and Paulus hook. The staff on the ferries are always very friendly and help with strollers when you have them. The problem is the all the people waiting for slot 2 form a line to right and blocking the entrance and exit to slip 4 (Paulus hook). They do this every day and block the entrance and cause congestion on slip 4 but the station staff has never said anything or fixed this. All they need to do is ask people to line up on the otherwise or curve the line to not block the other slip. There are simple solutions but no one is fixing it. Horrible communication between them and path employees. The path stopped working on 5/17 and they wouldn’t honor our tickets at first, then they forced us to buy ferry tickets even after multiple people explained that we were told to go to the ferry since all trains were down due to signal failure at Grove and Hoboken and ferry was the only way to Jersey. Then you have a Ferry employees yelling at customers to get on the boat and stop asking questions for clarity. Ridiculous and unprofessional behavior from Brookfield ferry staff. Amazing architecture and houses several shops, offices and a winter garden. You feel like you’re inside the belly of a whale. Don’t be scared. It’s the most beautiful inside of a whale you’ll ever see ( hopefully the only inside of a whale you’ll ever see).
