Koi fish, in their aqueous operant chamber, exhibit movements that mirror the Fibonacci sequence. Their gliding, schooling, and circular foraging—conditioned by environmental reinforcers like food and social cues—trace spirals approximating the Golden Ratio.
Each turn, a sum of prior paths, optimizes energy, reflecting nature’s efficient design.
Though fluid dynamics and neural control govern, the aesthetic harmony of their patterns, observable in pond design, suggests a latent Fibonacci structure, shaping behavior as nature’s law.
Beautiful pond to reflect, read or meditate. Some of the fish have tumors because people feed them fries from McDonalds. 🥺
Poor little guy 💔 please don’t feed the fish they do not need that type of reinforcement. Primates are conditioned from birth to associate food with emotions and we assume other species will reciprocate.
Just saw a Bold guy feeding the fish, it’s funny how people with their own nutritional deficiencies like to pass on their misery to other animals.
The idea behind the Koi pond is to watch them in their natural state. Swimming together as a school, why disturb that...
