CCA REWIEW : A Nightmare Experience
If you’re considering this program, prepare yourself for an uphill battle—literally and figuratively. To start, the elevators are perpetually out of service, forcing patients to climb five flights of stairs daily. For individuals already struggling with physical or mental health issues, this is both exhausting and downright dangerous. Accessibility clearly isn’t a priority here.
Once you finally reach the top, you’re met with a program plagued by incompetence. The staff, while perhaps well-meaning, often seem disorganized and unprepared. The most egregious issue, however, is the doctor overseeing the program. Their lack of empathy and apparent inability to manage patient care is astounding. Whether it’s dismissing concerns, refusing to adjust dosages appropriately, or outright failing to show up, the doctor’s ineptitude leaves patients feeling neglected and undervalued.
To add insult to injury, administrative processes are riddled with errors. Files are misplaced, appointment times are mismanaged, and communication between staff members is practically non-existent. It’s a miracle anything gets done at all.

I have a 6 y.o. and a 4 y.o., and Ive been fighting for full custody. I applied for an apartment at THE CENTER FOR COMMUNITY ALTERNATIVES, FREEDOM COMMONS SHA, in Syracuse N.Y. A few months later, I got the call that I was accepted for a 2 bedroom apartment! Ive been here a year now, and just signed a lease for another year! I have 2 YEARS of sobriety, the most Ive had in 30 years. My daughters come on the weekends and a trial set for Sept 1st for custody! Wish me luck! My onsite counselor Nicole O.
