Chanel — Local services in New York

Prior to visiting NYC my boyfriend and I found a ring we loved on the Chanel site. We sought out a store in NYC that focused on Chanel jewelry to see the specific ring we adored and that store was 737 Madison Ave. From the moment we entered we were treated like royalty...and we didn't look the part at all. We were greeted by Nina who immediately took us seriously and went above and beyond to find the piece we were seeking, including looking through my phone screen shots and viewing my partners as well. Once we identified the exact piece Judy Gehler stepped in and found the item in the back "vault" and brought it out for me to see. It was more gorgeous than I imagined. From there they figured out my ring size and said there was one in the country and could have it shipped overnight so that we could leave with it while on our vacation. The most amazing part of this experience is that I wanted to wear it on my ring finger, typically where you would wear an engagement ring, but we weren't actually getting engaged. We are two adults not getting married (done that before) and just wanted a ring to signify our commitment. Never once did anyone in the boutique make it weird or uncomfortable like "Congratulations, when are you getting married?" It was like they could read us and knew exactly how to handle it. I would say that the ring was the best part of the trip but the experience in the boutique made it even more special and something I will never forget. The Chanel Madison boutique is a first-class experience. I came in looking for earrings from a past season, and Karen V. showed me a different pair that was even more perfect for me. I drank bubbles while she beautifully wrapped my item and rang me out. On a later occasion, she texted me photos of items that matched my profile, and she was spot on. I made a special trip in to buy them, and one of her colleagues helped me with equal kindness and grace. Recently, Karen helped me to get my vintage Chanel sunglasses repaired and had them delivered to my apartment, beautifully wrapped, when they were ready. Great experience. I was also hesitant about making a purchase here based on negative reviews. I made an appointment as suggested and arrived 30 mins early and they took me right away. I was welcomed in when I arrived at the door and directed to a sales person right away. He was super helpful. Took into consideration my needs and wants with a purse and jewelry and happened to have exactly what I wanted! Some purses that I wanted were not there but told me I could text him anytime and when they come in he would let me know. I didn’t take the bag home with me bc I didn’t want to walk back to the hotel (long walk) so he is shipping me the purse. I did not feel pressured whatsoever.
