I just moved to New York from Virginia. I had originally found a roommate and we began looking for apartment all over the city together. We found an apartment we loved (City Wide Apartment), so we decided to put an application down. The broker I was in contact with, Tomi, was incredible. Once we finally had all the paperwork in for this apartment, my roommate up and left the country; leaving me with no roommate and an open application. I spoke with Tomi on the phone and expressed to her how desperately I needed this apartment due to my new job was starting that next week. She explained to me my options and was empathetic towards the issue at hand. I scrambled to find another roommate and was able to find someone to take the second room within 12 hours (a miracle!). I put the new roommate and Tomi in contact and things started to fall into place again. At this point Tomi had been extremely on top of all concerns and questions regarding the apartment; every text, call and email-- any hour. The day we were supposed to sign the lease, the agreement I had with my guarantor fell apart. It became incredibly difficult, frustrating, and overcomplicated. All the while Tomi was willing to do whatever it was going to take to continue to help me get this apartment. Words cannot express how grateful I am to have worked with Tomi. I encountered some horrible brokers throughout my apartment search (not associated with City Wide). Tomi wasn't in it for the money involved, there wasn't even a brokers fee for the apartment. She really cared about helping someone who clearly needed it. There isn't another broker out there who would've gone to the extent that Tomi went to help me. There is such value in personal interaction that is forgotten many times. Tomi truly went above and beyond and deserves, at the very least, the highest praise for being so great at her job. THANK YOU...
Read moreMy experience with City Wide Apartments was lovely, and that is entirely due to their fantastic employee Natia Tushishvili. The New York apartment hunting scene lives up to its reputation as notoriously difficult, unless you are working with Natia. I cannot express enough what an incredible asset she is to City Wide Apartments.
To highlight some of Natia’s assistance that blew us away: She is a rapid response, and showed us the apartment over FaceTime thoroughly since we were moving from outside of New York State. She had other in-person tours happening soon after, but took her time explaining the apartment, the neighborhood, and the requirements to apply with us. From the moment we met Natia we knew she could streamline the process for us in a way that is so rare in NYC. As we moved forward with our application, Natia would respond within 20 minutes. She was incredible. We encountered a few typos in our application (no fault of Natia’s!) and she reached out on our behalf to ensure everything was fixed appropriately. She reduced stress at every turn. Once we were approved for the apartment, Natia remained on top of our case. She went above and beyond, even showing me the apartment after we had finished the whole process so I could get a sense of furniture before the move. Natia has also ensured we had our good faith deposit returned in a timely manner. She has remained on top of everything for us right up until move in.
The bottom line is that Natia is reliable, professional, intelligent, and kind. After working with several realtors in the city, Natia was far and away the best. I truly wish her the best, and plan to contact her again for any future moves. If you can, work with Natia, you...
Read moreTori Woltkamp was such a joy to work with at City Wide Apartments! My experience with her was so different than any other broker I’d ever worked with in the past. I really appreciated her friendliness and responsiveness throughout the entire process. She was always quick to respond to any text, call or email no matter what time of day it was and it always felt like I was talking to a friend. The apartment hunt when my lease is ending is usually a very stressful time for me but Tori really helped make it much more enjoyable this time around. After expressing to her that the reason I was leaving my previous apartment was because they hiked my rent up by $1k for a 1 bedroom in my resign offer, she began to help me acquire a rent stabilized apartment which I was able to sign for today! This was the first time I didn’t mind paying a broker’s fee which was 15% of the annual rent, something that is standard as of 2023 for any unit with a broker’s fee. Also with the unit being rent stabilized with a much lower monthly rent and with how seamless and enjoyable Tori made the entire process, her broker’s fee was well deserved!
I would gladly recommend Tori to a friend and would 100% work with her again but now that I have this rent stabilized apartment I have no plans on doing this apartment hunt again...
