If you're looking for an energizing, community-driven cycling experience in NYC, CycleBar Flatiron delivers. From the moment you walk in, you're welcomed with friendly staff, clean facilities, and a studio that feels both sleek and motivating.
The instructors are what really make this location stand out. Each one brings their own vibe to the ride -- whether you're in the mood for a high-intensity sweat session or a more rhythm-based, feel-good class, there's someone on the schedule for you. They're incredibly encouraging without being over-the-top, and they're great at balancing challenge and fun. Bonus: their playlists are fire. Seriously, I've added songs to my own workout playlists thanks to these rides. Check out Leila or Fida's class for some amazing music curation.
The bikes are well-maintained, the lighting and sound system make it feel like a boutique nightclub (in a good way), and the leaderboard is optional, which I appreciate. It keeps things competitive if you want it, but never intimidating.
There's a strong sense of community here -- regulars, first-timers, and everyone in between seem to feel welcome. It's also in a super convenient location near Madison Square Park and major subways, making it easy to fit into your schedule. From the front desk to being on a bike, the motivation to do and be your best is there, beginning to end!
Whether you're a cycling regular or just trying something new, CycleBar Flatiron makes it easy to show up, clip in, and ride your heart out....
Read moreCyclebar Flatiron is the best group fitness location I have had been to. The instructors are all super motivating and incredible, there are always super fun theme rides, and the staff is all so friendly and super kind. I have tried so many speciality fitness locations (Pilates, boxing, bootcamps,) and this by far is the most approachable staff I’ve ever experienced. Sometimes boutique fitness locations can be a bit standoffish in terms of the employees and the workout itself, and that is not the case here. They do a great job helping set up your bike, giving tours of the whole place, and answering any questions. Everyone at the desk is so friendly. The workout itself is great, and they are always accommodating to any level you may be at. I always feel I get a great workout in. There are so many great instructors (Meg, Megan, Lizzie, Nick, Kendall are all great instructors!) The locker room is always stocked with anything you need and clean as well, and the showers are super nice with the double doors for privacy. The prices here are great as well and they always have great specials going on. Seriously might be one of the greatest fitness locations in NYC and I am so happy this has become part of my weekly...
Read moreThere are ample lockers (no locks needed), as the space is shared with Pure Barre, fyi. This location provides everything you need for a spin class - shoes on the house, sweat and shower towels, bathroom toiletries, etc. The only things you need are a set of tight-fitted workout clothes and water! I did a class with Lizzie, and she had great energy and a FIRE playlist! CycleBar's Strength class consists of 3 strength-focused songs, using a weighted bar as a ride to the beat of the song. We're also free to opt out of the weights and use our sweat towel for a lighter intensity. There's a leadership board that's turned on for a few minutes to motivate the class - I didn't really care much for it and just vibed on my own, which is totally fine as well! While this CycleBar location is spacious with separate Men/Women’s showers, these facilities are a bit run down and has a gym-smell throughout. I do like that their bikes give stats on our ride Power, Gear, RPM, and mileage. The staff at the Flatiron location are also SUPERB and...
