This store is out-of-control insane. Three times in the last month I have gone in there and a security guard has been getting EXCESSIVELY threatening towards someone who he believed was shoplifting. Two of those times it got physical and the security guard was the one who initiated the fight. Today, as I was entering the store he was physically throwing a man into the glass doors repeatedly, I had to run out of the store to avoid being hit by the man. Then he continued to throw the man around and into the doors, as he and the man screamed. One of the customers spoke up and said that was unnecessary, as it was really upsetting for everyone, and the cashiers angrily replied " you want to feel safe, right!" as they laughed. That was not making any one feel safe, and the man/customer was not threatening any other customers. This is not an appropriate way to handle theft. Read moreConsistently a bad experience. It’s like they’ve entirely given up on customer experience. It’s so painful at every single point, every time I’ve got to go in here. Can someone in Walgreens corporate PLEASE send some secret shoppers here? Pharmacy is consistently rude and unhelpful. They provide appointment times for vaccines, and then don’t keep them (and they say “it’s not our fault - it’s corporates fault”). Floor staff doesn’t know what they sell or where anything is, and it hurts them when you ask for help finding what you’re looking for. The line is always long with a single person working the register. Everyone is in a bad mood. Nearly all products are locked behind plastic cases, and no one comes when you ring the bell - you’ve got to go find someone (good luck!). Such poor store management. Oh, and prices are high. Read moreI went to this duane reade with my two children to get them a snack and drink only to be met with the security guard following us around. This is one of three prior incidents at this location. I was fed up with this treatment so I asked to speak with a manager. The manager, of whom I didn't catch the name of, listened to my concern and seemed very flippant about the whole thing. I told her I wouldn't come back there ever again because of the treatment and with an attitude she said twice "ok have a good day". Either she didn't care about losing a frequent customer or she hears this type of stuff all the time... either way, dont come here if you want to be comfortable and shop.
