Gamer's Choice — Local services in New York

Came to the store based off reviews I seen online. Wanted a few Pokémon boosters boxes & etbs thinking I would leave satisfied with prices at mSRP but I didn’t. Yeah the store is very clean & they have a showcase full of expensive yugioh cards & plenty of tcg players but my experience would keep me far from here. Once I asked for an evolving skies booster box he let me see it & off inspection the box was flimsy & the shrink wrap was very loose. I asked for another box & the clerk showed me another but he tossed the box I just looked at on top of other Pokémon boosters without a care in the world. The next box I inspected he said they not resealed but as I turned the box over & heard so many cards slide as if it wasn’t factory sealed I asked him then why the cards sliding & looking at the packaging this was loose & the box was worn down. He tells me that’s how Pokémon company packs it up at times. Well my opinion is they need to pack it up with the selling if they going to decide to sell resealed merchandise. Put in a pre-order on July 21st for a Yummy and K9 core. My card was charged so Gamer’s Choice got their money. It was advertised to be shipped by 8/1. It is 8/4 at 1:11 pm and nothing has shipped from my order. There has been no communication via email, text, or even a public post on FB or Instagram to ease the customers who gave you pre-order business. There has been a post about the store “Closing Temporarily.” Conveniently, after accepting all these pre orders you close up shop for 3-4 weeks. This is the worst business behavior I have ever experienced. Everyone who is experiencing this should dispute the charges on false advertising and not providing the goods/services that were promised at time of purchase. It even mentions to email to schedule a pick up time. Never got a response. My friend physically went there to pick up the order and was turned away and was told it would go in the mail on Monday. It is Monday and none of our orders have been mailed. This vendor is an utter joke...

Took my son here today and we bought a tyranitor tin box, it was $20 which seem to be very cheap. My son asked why the shrink wrap look odd and they told him it was this way. So we took it to the car and the whole time I was thinking about what he said. So we decided to open the tin to see if it was legit. Low and behold, all the packs were repacked, the seams on each pack had plastic residue on it like it was put through a shrink wrap machine but didn't come out clean. On one of the 5 packs, there was a seal that was not all the way so it left a hole at the end. Thankfully we were near by and took it back for a refund. They offered to give us another tin but I decided I just wanted my money back and they gave it to me. I've heard about this all around the web about people repacking booster packs but never imagine I would be the victim at a store that has only open for 3 weeks. Be careful buying anything from them! open it at the store and check it before you walk out...
