Heavenly Father,
We humbly pray for the Audubon Women’s Shelter and everyone living or working there. We understand the serious challenges these women face with mental illness and addiction. We ask for Your wisdom and help, especially in managing shared living spaces to avoid worsening their difficulties unintentionally. As James 1:5 says, "If anyone needs wisdom, ask God, and He’ll give it generously."
Father, we ask for Your abundant blessings on the committed staff serving in this challenging field. Grant them greater skill, wisdom, and an abundance of Your grace as they handle their daily duties. May they reflect Your love, compassion, genius and understanding in all they do, working diligently for Your glory rather than for human recognition (Colossians 3:23)
We pray earnestly for the healing and recovery of all the shelter residents. Lord, You are the ultimate Healer, and we ask for Your guidance to help these women find the will power, resources, support, and paths to healing they desperately need. Please provide the shelter with enough money to meet every need, as it says in Philippians 4:19, "God will supply every need of yours."
We ask for Your divine protection and comfort for residents who are working hard but feeling unsafe, unsupported, and stuck. Surround them with Your peace, remembering Your promise to be a refuge and strength in tough times. May the shelter's environment be renewed and transformed, free from confinement or persecution, and filled with Your authority, grace, and honor, fostering dignity and hope.
We're praying for an abundance of supplies and resources for everyone in the shelter. Also, we're asking the kitchen team to cook with love, making meals that nourish both body and soul. Bless the leaders and supervisors, giving them renewed strength and health, and guiding them towards new opportunities. May they serve with joy and purpose, trusting in God's plans for their well-being and a hopeful future. Strengthen staff who work tirelessly and feel overwhelmed, reassuring them with Your presence and giving them rest, as Matthew 11:28 promises. Lord, we earnestly pray for fair and just salaries for each position within the shelter, remembering that “the laborer deserves his wages” (Luke 10:7). Create a staff of quality and not just quantity, ensuring that those who serve are well compensated and motivated by a genuine desire to help and support the residents. Finally, we ask for Your divine guidance in facilitating expedited housing, quick and smooth stable placements and short stays within the shelter system for the residents. Open pathways to rehab programs and supportive housing, meeting the unique needs of disabled and elderly women, as “the Lord will guide you continually and satisfy your desire in scorched places and make your bones strong; and you shall be like a watered garden, like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail” (Isaiah 58:11).
