I tried to get a call or email back for over a week about booking time at this studio. Spoke to the front desk twice, and only got the run around. Both times I was asked if I was on a major label or representing a major label band... Like money isn't money. Recording studios aren't exactly the booming businesses that they used to be.
They are not the only game in town, but want to act like it. Maybe they are building their reputation, but who has really heard of Jungle City? Doesn't carry the weight of The Hit Factory (R.I.P), Magic Shop (R.I.P), Avatar, etc... I found them through a Google search of studios with a piano, not because I heard about them and HAD to record there.
So what, they have worked with some big artists. Most any studio in NYC can say the same.

He was paid minimum wage while being expected to work long, exhausting hours- often without proper breaks or consideration. The way he was treated by the management was unacceptable. Studios thrive on the hard work of their entry-level staff, and it is disappointing to see such disregard for the people who keep things running behind the scenes.
