Possibly THE WORST IN STORE IN NEW YORK. As a small business owner myself, I understand small businesses are struggling during the pandemic. I try to do most of my shopping from local shops but the people at La Garconne apparently do not need my business. I bought a brand new $350 sofa cushion over the phone and had it delivered to my office only to find that it was STAINED. I told the salesperson that I would like to keep it but only if I could get the stain off by lightly rubbing. I couldn't get it off so I asked to return it. I returned it and they sent me a rude and dismissive email saying they couldn't accept the return because it looked used and had a piece of hair on it. They are the ones that sent me a sub par product with a stain on it. But they can't take it back......?? Maybe don't send me a defective product to begin with.
From a luxury boutique I would expect better QC and customer service. I have since bought a new sofa cushion directly from the manufacturer and realized that the one that La Garconne sent me was not in new condition. The one I got from the manufacturer is in a similar fabric but it is crisp and holds its shape. The one I got from La Garconne looks frumpy and feels worn.
As a customer who's spent thousands of dollars at their shop, I will be taking my business elsewhere. Stay more than six feet away...

This was one of the worst shopping experiences we’ve ever had. My partner and I found an outfit we both loved for our marriage celebration. We tried it on in-store—the staff were unpleasant and dismissive—but we still decided to order it online because this store was the only place that carried it.
After 10 days with no shipping update, we reached out. They claimed they had just shipped it and created a label, but the item still hadn’t left their store. Days had passed by then, and our most recent email had gone unanswered. The day before our celebration, we emailed them again, stating that we would come pick it up in person—otherwise, we would miss the ceremony. We included our phone number and asked them to contact us if there were any issues. (They never answer their phone, which is why we resorted to email.)
The next morning, as soon as the store opened, my partner went in to pick up the clothes—only to be told they had shipped it just 30 minutes earlier.
Honestly, I would not only avoid shopping here—I also strongly urge any brand to stop partnering with them. They are careless and unprofessional, and absolutely not...

I gave them a chance again because I like their brand selection and curation. I went during their FW Sale and had a better experience. Bought something and would go back again. It really depends on the people around.

Such gross customer experience. I frequent this place coming every season and every time, they continue to prove how pretentious they are. They only acknowledge white people and ignore others. It doesn't matter if the associates are POC, there's definitely bias. Instead of acknowledging you and having a conversation with you about the pieces you're looking at, they'd rather be on their phones and computers and make the security follow every move you make. It's embarrassing how they act and make you feel like a thief. I go to even more luxurious stores but don't get this experience. This is the epitome of pretentiousness and shallowness. I try to let go of these things but continuous bad experiences with this shop just...
