It’s so easy to work with Shelly and Maya.

Shelly is the owner and incredibly accommodating. For those who are shy on the phone or screen their phone calls against scammers, she texts so you’ll always know what you’re getting.

Maya is also incredibly easy to work with and she will teach you how to care for your skin and check that the laser is working! She’s always making sure you’re safe and that your skin looks great.

The first time I got laser, it DID hurt…but Shelly held my hand haha. And Maya instructed me how to breathe as to help me manage the pain.

This is a private room so there’s nobody else there. The waiting room has a bathroom and water station so if you come early or need to take a call, it’s very easy. And it’s very centrally located, right off of Madison square park.

These women are just so nice and easy to work with. I’ve been doing chemical peels at a dermatologist and laser hair removal here and I have to say, after both treatments are done, I’m for sure coming back to le parlour and only le parlour.

Update: I don’t even know how many months later. I’m addicted to Le Parlour and their offerings!! These women are PROs.

Double update bc I just read a review that I totally disagree with (Looking at you, JADE): yes, the space where the laser happens is on the smaller side. But anybody who has gone to any kind of aesthetician or has gotten waxed would be used to the size of the space. So I’m not sure why this would be a problem for anybody, let alone any New Yorker. ADDITIONALLY, I was on the larger side of bodies and I usually HATE going to beauty places bc they’re not body inclusive spaces and everyone there is oppressively skinny and I always feel like I’m going to break something or I’m too big for the offices, and I have NEVER felt like that at le Parlour. So yeah, it’s small…but I would rather take a small, clean room that has good energy and cares for their clients and doesn’t shame them over any large space that doesn’t accommodate people at whatever size.

The waiting room is large, with lots of seating. I have taken meetings there while waiting for my appointment (bc I have a mtg heavy work schedule).

Lastly, the products that Maya and Shelley offer are great. And smell really good. But I would never say they’re pushy. In fact, they’re more than understanding when you tell them about your financial situation.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! If Google let you leave 0 stars I would give them 0. When you first go in there they sit you down and try to sell you on their products, but that wasn't even the problem. I went there to get a dark spots treatment and THEY GAVE ME THE WRONG TREATMENT!!! They gave me something for acne NOT my dark spots. Mind you before I even went into the office I called and spoke with a woman named Shelley to make sure they had the right treatment (IPL) for dark spots. When I got to the office I told them I wanted to get something to help my dark spots and I usually get the IPL (I've had this done before and it works) and they told me they had a laser for dark spots and acne. I was impressed that there was a 2-in-1 so I went with it. While Maya (the esthetician) was working on my skin I said something along the lines of "oh wow, I can’t believe this one does acne and dark spots" and she said something like "no it is for acne" and then I said I wanted the one for my dark spots and then Shelley says something to Maya like - “she wanted the other one (laser)”. I was obviously cool about it because the lady was working on my face with a laser. I left really upset, I booked them through ClassPass and it was not cheap. I am now working with Classpass to try to get a refund, but it seems like they are lying to ClassPass as well because they obviously knew they gave me the wrong one or Shelley would have not said "She wanted the other one”! I don't ever leave reviews about businesses, but I really think that people need to hear about what happened to me. Save your time, save your money….GO...

I cannot say enough good things about my entire experience at Le Parlour! My skin has changed so much in the last couple of years, unfortunately stress and years of not wearing sunblock and hours in the sun finally took its toll. All of a sudden I was oily, I had obvious sun spots and pores that were just too visibly large for comfort. Maya and Shelley were incredibly knowledgeable and helpful in discussing what was going on with my skin and how to treat it. First, they pointed out that my skin care products were definitely not helping my cause and were in fact exacerbating my oiliness. Second, they recommended a new regimen that flipped everything I believed true about what you're supposed to do in your morning and evening routine upside down. Third, I took their recommendation on the products to use instead (which are available at the studio), and let me just tell you that I have cut down on my skincare product spend drastically with far fewer steps. Fourth, after following the treatment plan of 6 laser facials and 3 microdermabrasions, my skin is now so much more even toned and has basically resurfaced itself. My pores and sun spots are noticeably smaller and I am definitely not as oily. Now I can walk out the door with under-eye concealer and feel confident in my own skin! I have definitely able to cut down my makeup routine which is a huge time saver for me (and my husband lol). I am so so so happy with my results!!! Thank you...
