Terrible experience. There is a very long wait time for delivery. When purchasing my sofa the manager said, “No problem, the legs of the sofa come off and it will fit through your door.” Took the measurements in the store - everything looked good to get through my door. Then the guy who came to take the measurements at my home said it wouldn’t fit through my door and they do not remove the legs. Even though the specifications for the couch say online that the legs are removable! Next they send me an email that the couch is due for delivery and give me a date and time. But no delivery so I called the customer service number and they tell me delivery was never scheduled because the measurement guy said it wouldn’t fit. So why did I get a notification of delivery??? I got no call from customer service to tell me what the other options are. I picked up a card from the store for a service that disassembles furniture if it can’t fit through your doorway. I ended up calling them, but now it’s gonna cost me an extra $300! This was a super NEGATIVE experience!! I would never recommend Macy’s...

Just wanted to get the sale and add on the protection services. When delivery came, movers said that it wasn't going to fit. I called Macy's only to be told that my sales person was off and that I had to call back the next day (was my sofa supposed to wait in the street?). I spoke to the manager only to have him give me his sales pitch and basically say, "it's not our problem." The only solution provided was for me to call and schedule a person who disassembles and reassembles sofas to make them fit into apartments, at a cost of $275 each piece and to wait an additional two weeks. The manager could not call for me, or even expedite the service. Again, not his or Macy's problem, my problem. Never again. When the delivery team arrived at my home, I wasn’t there, and after waiting only 15 minutes, they decided to take the couch back. When I returned home, they asked for my ID, and because my address didn’t match since I have Florida residency, they accused me of fraud and took the couch away.
The delivery team was unhelpful, rushed, and seemed disorganized, which only made the situation worse. I immediately called customer service, but after numerous calls, I still haven’t received a proper resolution. The salesperson called me afterward, promising the couch would be delivered within a week. However, when I called to confirm, I was told that I had canceled the order—something I never did.
