Staying in NYC for a few weeks and this was the 1st place we chose to eat, because it's Cinco De Mayo! The place is small with several 2 seat and 4 seat arrangements. We got lucky and got seated quickly (reservations are good). The menu is a uniquely weird mix of Mediterranean and Mexican food, but the food leans 80/20 to the Mexican side. For example falafel was on the menu, and it was good. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. We had the tortilla soup which was tasty, but needed more ingredients, my sisters homily soup was more brothy. Staff was busy but attentive. We both got enchiladas mole and salsa verde. We enjoyed it immensely, we took the leftovers home for breakfast. Lastly I need to mention the yogurt smoothie, it was SO good! I got two and the 2nd one was better than the 1st. So if you go definitely get the yogurt smoothie. Will probably go back to sample the other items. 5/8 - got the Happy Hour special frozen margaritas and the molcajete grill special ($47) for 2 people. Wow, what a steal! We also got the flautas app. These were really good, bite sized tacitos. 5/9 - we ordered from GrubHub got the bowls, good portion, not too heavy, better...
Read moreI have ordered from this place 3 or 4 times and although I love their vegetarian burrito, there is always a problem with my order. First time, I ordered a burrito bowl and I got a burrito instead of a bowl. Second time I order guacamole to be added to my burrito and it was not added although I was charged for it. Tonight I got the burrito with the added guacamole (very little on it, maybe a teaspoonful, for extra charge, but ok....) but the kicker was that I ordered a watermelon margarita and instead of it coming in a large plastic cup, it came in a small 8 oz cup with lots of ice...... for $16! Are you kidding me...... it was half the size of the usual order but the same price. I am really annoyed and won't be ordering from them again, despite the fact that I love their burritos. I don't like to feel ripped off. If they were going to give me such a tiny drink they should have charged me their $5 happy hour price, not...
Read moreDo not !!!! Buy the torta. I ordered the torta Poblana. I stopped at this place for a quick bite which turnout to be an hour wait for a simple sandwich. The place was dead . When I finally received my food I noticed some ingredients that were listed in the description of the sandwich were missing, there was no queso de cerdo. Also, the meat was very chewy and the beans were old and there was an overall oniony taste that was overwhelming. The breaded meat was very greasy and it soaked the entire sandwich making it feel very greasy in my hands. I was very dissatisfied to say the least. Took the time to write this and hope I can save you time, money and disappointment. Also, do not order the Agua de Horchata, taste like Cinnamon Toast Crunch and not...
