This florist is truly exceptional. In a time of grief, Mika offered more than just an arrangement, she created a gesture of quiet beauty and reverence. With the eye of an artist and the sensitivity of someone who truly understands the emotional weight of a farewell, they brought together flowers that spoke with grace and restraint. There was something almost wabi-sabi in the composition, elegantly imperfect, delicately balanced, and full of quiet meaning. The soft whites, gentle greens, and serene structure reflected a Japanese attention to harmony and space, where nothing was excessive and everything felt intentional. The service was seamless, her empathy sincere, and her attention to detail extraordinary, from the textures of the petals to the way the card was tied with care. In a world that moves too fast, Mika still takes the time to listen, to craft, and to honor. I am deeply grateful for their presence in such a tender moment.

Lovely flowers from the lovely owner Mika. A bouquet of Coral Dutch Peonies was one recent favorite - I received no less than 5 compliments from total strangers on the 3 block walk home from 83rd Street. The photo is another favorite - Mountain Laurel. Everything is special, super fresh and high quality. The owner spends time to work with each client directly to ensure that you have the perfect flowers for any occasion... or just weekend flowers.

Mika was incredibly helpful and easy to work with in sending flowers for a memorial service that we were unable to attend because we were out of town. She designed the bouquet, which, as a you can see was beautiful, and personally delivered it to the service (close to the shop) before her store even opened. Her help, flexibility, responsiveness, and floral design were all top notch. Thank you so much, Mika!

At 93, living out of state in Connecticut, I wanted to send my Granddaughter flowers for her 30th Birthday... it was mid afternoon September 7th, my son reached out to several florists on the UES, with no luck in having a bouquet delivered to her office by 5:00pm, to 66th and Madison, until he connected with Mika... Mika was so kind, created the most beautiful arrangement, and delivered it on time... My Granddaughter loved them and was so happy!! The next day, it was my Grandson's girlfriends birthday, they live on 7th Ave. and 18th Street, we decided to send her a similar arrangement!! Mika did her magic again, creating another beautiful arrangement, delivered just before she arrived home from work... I have to say, Mika goes beyond, making the experience of giving and receiving flowers amazing, she is talented and a true dependable professional in her field... I highly recommend Mika, and Mitaka NY Flowers, to anyone who wants to take the worry out of sending beautiful flowers to a loved one:) Thank you...

Each and every time I visit this shop, I’m simply blown away by the owner’s talent. I’m not exactly great at picking out a bouquet of flowers. All I have to ask is, “can you please make me something for [insert person or occasion]?” Simple as that and something extraordinary will be made for you on the spot! From flower selection to wrapping, everything is exquisitely prepared with precision and care. You can tell when someone is dedicated and loves what they do. Come here and you’ll walk away with something special. Truly a unique and wonderful shop. The potted plants here are also incredibly lovely as well, she has some wonderful organic candles, and more!! Kind of have my eye on a really cute yellow mug I saw today…Anyway, Such a unique and lovely place. It’s a shop worthy...
