Modus10 — Local services in New York

Do not do business with this company and if you do, certainly do not make the mistake we did of paying up front. We ordered bar stools from Modus10 on July 5, 2022. We were told there was a 5-6 month production time due to supply issues still from Covid times. So we were expecting the bar stools to arrive in Dec if we were lucky, or in January. Instead, we have been getting a total runaround since January. First we were told by Jiahao and Paul that the stools were about to go into production and would be here within the month. In Feb the stools were still not done, so we requested our order be cancelled and refunded. We were told that was not possible. Same thing in March. In April, I posted a negative review of our experience. Paul called to assure me the stools were now out of production and they were waiting for the quote for shipping. He asked me to remove my review and give him a week to confirm delivery date. I did. Well, disappointingly here we are a week later. No stools, no shipping date and Modus10 writes me they are still waiting for shipping and export documents. Right. We are now 9 months later, and nothing but aggravation. Clients beware.

** update: 10 months later, our bar stools have arrived. While supplier delays may not be in the control of Modus 10, customer service is and they did not handle the delay in a customer...

Furniture is outstanding.. modern items that you will treasure as they are uniquely comfortable and very chic.. sit on the chairs and couches and see for yourself, as pictures cannot communicate this. Staff are friendly - sensitive people who are concerned with the needs of your home and lifestyle, thoughtful and considered in suggestions, no ‘hard sell’. We have purchased from Modus over the period of a few years, (Freifrau and Rolf Benz in particular) and have always experienced excellent service...

The Rolf Benz quality and design is exceptional, and Paul is a formidable furniture and design consultant. Compared to other designer brands with more well-known names, the Rolf Benz product is crafted better. Paul and Jiahao are responsive and customer centric; the factory in Germany however has it‘s own timeline. Some shipments of ours came quickly, others delayed, and one very late.
