They had tons of obnoxious parties and made the streets more dirty. The art looked like garbage and the dude who ran the gallery on Wooster created tons of trash, had a bad attitude and super stingy. Glad that the gallery is closed and gone. Stingy people always get karma bad. The dude said he would get me back when I got him a pizza a he never did which is not good man code and tells me the dude is not a stand up man. I was told that the dude offered only 50 bucks to the maintenance man to clean up the mess the study left and the maintenance man laughed like 50 bucks is nothing... these type of people contribute zero and always take take take ~ everyone is happy to see the art gallery gone. The parties were super loud and tons of rambunctious loud young adults graffiti the area and making the property...
Read moreHad a wonderful visit today at the SoHo Richard Beaver Gallery. I was super excited to see the Nicholas Blake “Mythos” Exhibit. I’ve been following Nico on Instagram since he began so I was thrilled his paintings were going to be in NYC. Nico is a prodigy and his parents have done a care-full (spelled on purpose) job sharing his Art with the world. It was a special feeling seeing his paintings in person. The Richard Beaver Gallery also did it right. The space is comfortable and open making it easy to view the paintings from any distance. Terry was a great host during my visit, he was friendly and just as excited about Nico’s paintings as I was! I felt like I was chatting about the art with a friend. Visit this gallery! And go while MYTHOS...
Read moreWhat a BEAUTIFUL gallery space! It was an experience like no other. Came to visit the Richard Beavers Gallery on my travels to NY. The “Cry Like A Man” exhibit by Xavier Daniels was phenomenal. Terry, from the Richard Beavers Gallery was incredibly kind and welcoming. He took the time to engage and walk us thru the narrative of the exhibit. I left feeling very connected to the body of work.
In other galleries around the city, you can often feel invisible. But you can tell that this gallery truly values everyone who walks in the door. Would definitely visit again for future events...
