My Mom and I enjoyed a lovely dinner here on a Saturday evening in November. We had booked a reservation earlier that morning, and everything with check-in went smoothly. The door was hard to find, though, that's the only thing--Why couldn't they have better signage pointing to the correct entrance, instead of the amount of signage they had pointing out which ones were wrong? I loved our server so much--I wish I remembered her name, but she was a young, tall woman who was so friendly and helped my Mom decide on a cocktail when she didn't know which one to order. The drinks were very good, but the food was even better. I wish the portions were bigger, but it just meant we were able to savor the meal all the much more. We got the meatballs as our appetizer, and shared the gyro platter, which was definitely big enough for 2 people! The atmosphere was very pleasant, although I'm not sure what the purpose of the paper on the tables were; it reminded me of the doctor's office! We decided to skip dessert and go elsewhere, but the baklava was tempting. I definitely reccomend it here!

Not greeting at all. Staff is not aware that Midtown West is a multi-cultural area. The Asians ladies only cater to white clientele. Issues the phone as well, I had to call few times before I can order. Apparently, no manager at the restaurant, I was told to leave my name & phone number. Older Asian female waitress, asked for reason why I need a manager. She’s not welcoming and is very rude- hand me the bill like i was not going to pay. As a recurring client, is sad to experienced this. Chicken Souvlaki platter, and calamari not fried well, soggy. I was told by the MOD name starts with an A, that that’s how the platter comes- she was argumentative about the situation instead of finding a solution. Food presentation is not good.

Walked in on Saturday evening and was hoping to have dinner at this local to where I live restaurant. Never in my life did I have to stand by the hostess's station and wait for 20 minutes in order to be seated. The place was half empty and did not appear busy at all. Waiters, bar tenders moved about their business without even paying attention that they have a customer standing for a prolonged period of time turning his head in all directions, trying to get someone's attention. After 20 minuts of idle waiting, I lost my patience and approached one of the senior workers (for all I know he appeared to be in charge of the place) and asked if someone could offer me a table (once again the place was more than 50% empty) and this individual without even saying "I am sorry" sat me at one of the tables. Now that I sat, I was given a menu and after quickly deciding on my meal choices I put it down on the table and expected a waitress to come quickly in order to accommodate me for the time that I already wasted. After sitting at the table for another 20 minutes without anyone coming over and asking me if I would like to order, I approached the same "in charge looking" INDIVIDUAL and expressed my dissatisfaction. I got a resonse 'Ok, sorry for the delay, we'll take care of you now". Really??? "We'll take care of you now..."??? How gracious of them. Maybe I should be greatful for bestowing upon me their willingness to serve me. I walked out after nearly 40 minutes of wasted time. Terri\ble service. These people didn't have enough decency to apologize and offer something on the house in order to make me happy. They were like "Ok, We are sorry that you had to wait too long, but whatever happened, happned, lets not dwell on it, let us serve you and be done with you".

Stay awy from this place, unless of course you don't value you time and can afford to wait for them to serve you for more than 40 minutes.

BAD!!!!...

I have been coming here for about eight years now. Twice a year I work in this area and once we discovered this place, we are reluctant to chance lunch anywhere else in the area.

It's true Greek through and through, so if you are looking for that you will be happy. The menu is familiar to anyone who has eaten at Greek restaurants. I keep it simple and get the chicken souvlaki platter most times. It comes with a supremely fresh and delicious salad. The simple salad is sometimes my favorite part. Nothing crazy, just ultra fresh ingredients, tangy feta, and olive oil that really carries flavor. A single kalamata olive is always on top to bring a little salty zing to the mix.

The chicken is the star though. I said I've been coming here right years, and what I love is that the chicken is ALWAYS the same, which is perfect because in my opinion it's always done just right. Ever so slightly charred on the outside, but juicy....really juicy on the inside. The outside is generously rubbed with a mixture of spices that not only live there, but also permiate their flavors to the inside meat.

The platter can be had with orzo, potatoes, and...I think, rice. Those are all good, but not something you would be compelled to tell your friend about (like the chicken and salad).

Occasionally they offer special consisting of chicken with capers in a white wine sauce. Whenever I see that, I order it. It has always been delicious as well.

The staff is has always been prompt and very courteous.

There is inside seating, and additional seating which is at street level with nearly all glass windows, giving the feel of being outside without actually being so.

Overall, they don't reinvent the wheel when it comes to Greek food....it is all traditional fare. But, what I have sampled has never been average. It has always struck me as exceptional within...

We has the pleasure of dining at this delightful Greek restaurant, and I must say, it exceeded all expectations. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality, setting the tone for an unforgettable dining experience.

The service was impeccable, with attentive staff catering to our every need without being intrusive. Their knowledge of the menu was impressive, and they were more than happy to offer recommendations based on our preferences.

Now, let's talk about the food. Each dish was a culinary masterpiece, bursting with authentic flavors and fresh ingredients. The fried calamari was a standout, perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, served with a tangy dipping sauce that complemented it beautifully.

The Mid East salad was a refreshing medley of crisp vegetables, olives, and feta cheese, drizzled with a light and zesty dressing that left our taste buds dancing with delight.

To accompany our meal, we indulged in the Greek beer fix, a crisp and refreshing brew that paired perfectly with the bold flavors of our dishes.

And last but certainly not least, the garitoburiko dessert was the perfect sweet ending to our meal. Layers of flaky phyllo dough enveloped a luscious custard filling, topped with a sprinkle of cinnamon and a drizzle of honey. It was a decadent treat that left us craving more.

Overall, our experience at this Greek restaurant was nothing short of exceptional. The combination of outstanding service, top-notch food, and a welcoming atmosphere made for a truly memorable dining experience. We will definitely be returning soon to sample more of their...
