Nepenthes New York — Local services in New York

Everyone here and behind the Nepenthes labels makes me look and feel like a cool guy. Basic statement but if you think about it, it's profound, and is likely the reason they do what they do. Mission accomplished. What other place can a guy (who's fashionable but isn't trying to be FASHUN) go to and get this product + experience in NY? DSM? Rei Kawakub-NO. Kith? Have a 'no' with that cereal. The random goth stores in Greenwich Village? Idfk I never go in. Noah? No-ahaha. My point is, these brands and these people mirror what I think of myself and taste (cool) and so this is where I shop. I don't come here to be treated nicely, but that said I've been followed up to the second floor and I know it's because the stylish Asian woman was going to catch me if I would have fallen down the stairs. That's just the quality of her character. As for everyone else, they're the coolest type of crusty in NY, just like me. Any doubts about that? Talk to my double cloth FA...

Good vibe. Beautiful merch. As out-of-towners, never know what to expect, and I read some unflattering reviews of the service. But end-to-end great experience shopping here. Picked up some great gear over two visits, and the staff were super helpful. We were left to explore the goods on our own, but someone was always nearby to answer a question or find a size. After we got home, I called them with a question and they–again–were super helpful and promptly resolved it...

Hands-down the single best clothing store in the city. The three core brands are always great, but I'm also always impressed with the thoughtful selection of other items (especially shoes and accessories) to fill out the store and the regular pop-ups and collaborations they do. The staff aren't going to fawn over you when you come in (they have better things to do), but I've always found them to be extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Keep an eye out for the end of...
