This feels like you are in an episode of Kimmy Schmidt and everyone is Jaqueline. The stereotypical upper east side snobs. If you are visiting NYC, this would be a good place to see Upper East Side culture. Come here as a cultural experience, but not to shop. Gawk at the locals in their snobbery as they buy over priced and over marketed products. There is marble over 90% of the surfaces while every employee ignores you while you stand in front of them trying to order a coffee. They have copied the smoothie of a popular LA market that they are clearly trying to mimic. Then watch rude customers hit your heel with their shopping cart and then get mad at you. My husband was walking though the aisles and a woman told him to get out of the way. He was behind a line of people so where was he supposed to go? The layout of the place is awful and has no flow so crowds lump and you can’t move. I went in happy and came out so irritated by the terrible service, the upper East Side attitude and the general agro vibe of all in there. Thankfully we did not spend any money here. It’s just a funny cultural experience for anyone wanting a glimpse into upper east side ā€œhospitality ā€œ and entitlement.

Beautiful supermarket -however, that’s where it ends. The service at the bagel counter is disastrous and embarrassing for an establishment such as this one who prides themselves to be an upscale supermarket. The service at the bagel counter is horrendous. The bagel makers are extremely rude and very unhelpful. They are constantly running out of vegetables for the bagels-you’re in a supermarket go get it or tell management to bring more v to the counter. I have gone so far as to offer to bring my own box of lettuce that I wanted in my sandwich. I write this review after visiting the bagel counter, many many times and hoping that it would be better but it’s really not and after looking at some of reviews, I noticed that many people share the same complaints. This is an easy fix and I hope you will do better in the future! Additionally, I share some photos of a box of Cut carrots that I purchased today notice, that the box says fresh cut carrots, but please see the photos and describe to me how you call this fresh? Ouris, you can do better!

As a former loyal customer of Ouri's on 3rd Ave, I feel compelled to share my recent, deeply disappointing experiences. While the team at the meat counter has always been fantastic, the store's overall service and quality have fallen apart. A couple months back, I did shopping at Ouri's and one of the produce items we purchased were peaches labeled $4.99/lb but rang up at $5.99/lb. The cashier was not only unhelpful but shockingly rude, telling me she "didn't care" about the sign and that I could "take it or leave it." Adding to this, I also had to throw out a package of pargiot that was rotten, even though it was well within its sell-by date. Before posting this review, I tried to resolve these matters privately. I emailed management twice detailing these incidents and was met with complete silence. No apology, no explanation, nothing. A business that ignores food quality complaints and fails to address poor staff behavior has lost my trust. Because of this, I have stopped shopping at Ouri's and now take my business elsewhere.

Some of the highest quality produce I’ve seen in 25+ years living in NYC! šŸŽšŸŠšŸ“šŸˆ

This entire store is Kosher, so this is a great addition for the UES Jewish community and for anyone that wants high quality food. Yes, a number of items still don’t have prices but I found that the majority of items lacking prices were those in the coolers/fresh food to go sections. All fruits, meats, seafood, and shelved items appeared to mostly or entirely have prices available. They offered staples you would find at the average grocery store as well as more unique offerings like foods from Israel and frozen ready-to-cook appetizers and meals like bourekas and burgers. šŸ”šŸ„©šŸ„Ÿ

Staff were friendly and helped me bag my items and checkout. The carts at the entrance come with a roll of bags attached so you can easily bag your produce as you shop instead of searching for bags near the produce, like you would at a Whole Foods or Trader Joe’s.

The entire store is accessible ā™æļø featuring very wide aisles and entrances and exits. Entrance and exit also feature motion-sensor sliding doors, making entry and exit entirely autonomous for those who may be wheelchair-bound. I did not check for a bathroom during my initial visit.

Keep in mind I visited on a weekday between 6-7:30 PM, so while it was mostly empty, I’m unsure how navigable it is when more crowded, but that’s with most NYC stores.

I highly recommend visiting Ouri’s for your local...

UPDATE: Last night, 08/02/2025, walking by I looked in the front door and saw at least two mice running around!!! Not shocked considering how filthy the store has gotten, especially their front sidewalk they produce more trash than any other grocery shop in the area and it stinks all the time. Disgusting.

It's a lovely store, aesthetically pleasing! It seems they are still working out some kinks; I'd say more than half the products do not have pricing labeled, which makes it challenging to shop. The entrance/exit situation could be clearer, too, and the cashier area is super crowded and unorganized. The biggest issue/complaint is that the store has signs stating they are charging a 3% credit card fee. According to the NY Department of State, "Businesses are not allowed to advertise a price and add a surcharge at the point of sale when a consumer elects to pay with a credit card." This is important to mention because this is an illegal business practice that affects the consumer experience. I hope the store learns this and fixes it before any problems occur. For an already pricey market, an additional fee is just wrong...and not to state again...
