Some of the highest quality produce Iāve seen in 25+ years living in NYC! šššš
This entire store is Kosher, so this is a great addition for the UES Jewish community and for anyone that wants high quality food. Yes, a number of items still donāt have prices but I found that the majority of items lacking prices were those in the coolers/fresh food to go sections. All fruits, meats, seafood, and shelved items appeared to mostly or entirely have prices available. They offered staples you would find at the average grocery store as well as more unique offerings like foods from Israel and frozen ready-to-cook appetizers and meals like bourekas and burgers. šš„©š„
Staff were friendly and helped me bag my items and checkout. The carts at the entrance come with a roll of bags attached so you can easily bag your produce as you shop instead of searching for bags near the produce, like you would at a Whole Foods or Trader Joeās.
The entire store is accessible āæļø featuring very wide aisles and entrances and exits. Entrance and exit also feature motion-sensor sliding doors, making entry and exit entirely autonomous for those who may be wheelchair-bound. I did not check for a bathroom during my initial visit.
Keep in mind I visited on a weekday between 6-7:30 PM, so while it was mostly empty, Iām unsure how navigable it is when more crowded, but thatās with most NYC stores.
I highly recommend visiting Ouriās for your local...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis feels like you are in an episode of Kimmy Schmidt and everyone is Jaqueline. The stereotypical upper east side snobs. If you are visiting NYC, this would be a good place to see Upper East Side culture. Come here as a cultural experience, but not to shop. Gawk at the locals in their snobbery as they buy over priced and over marketed products. There is marble over 90% of the surfaces while every employee ignores you while you stand in front of them trying to order a coffee. They have copied the smoothie of a popular LA market that they are clearly trying to mimic. Then watch rude customers hit your heel with their shopping cart and then get mad at you. My husband was walking though the aisles and a woman told him to get out of the way. He was behind a line of people so where was he supposed to go? The layout of the place is awful and has no flow so crowds lump and you canāt move. I went in happy and came out so irritated by the terrible service, the upper East Side attitude and the general agro vibe of all in there. Thankfully we did not spend any money here. Itās just a funny cultural experience for anyone wanting a glimpse into upper east side āhospitality ā and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUPDATE: Last night, 08/02/2025, walking by I looked in the front door and saw at least two mice running around!!! Not shocked considering how filthy the store has gotten, especially their front sidewalk they produce more trash than any other grocery shop in the area and it stinks all the time. Disgusting.
It's a lovely store, aesthetically pleasing! It seems they are still working out some kinks; I'd say more than half the products do not have pricing labeled, which makes it challenging to shop. The entrance/exit situation could be clearer, too, and the cashier area is super crowded and unorganized. The biggest issue/complaint is that the store has signs stating they are charging a 3% credit card fee. According to the NY Department of State, "Businesses are not allowed to advertise a price and add a surcharge at the point of sale when a consumer elects to pay with a credit card." This is important to mention because this is an illegal business practice that affects the consumer experience. I hope the store learns this and fixes it before any problems occur. For an already pricey market, an additional fee is just wrong...and not to state again...
