If I could rate this a ZERO, I would!!! PLEASE HEAR MY WARNING!!!! I have NEVER had to write a negative review on any company EVER. I was signed up for an IN person training at my very own studio. However, due to the global PANDEMIC, the class was cancelled, they are providing an online experience. My issues are, IE, I am a mother, I CANNOT train in my home ONLINE for Pilates. I do not feel online is an adequate training experience for such a personal training. I cannot focus in my own home with my family all around and do not feel it will be a fair learning experience in my home AT ALL. I've contacted this company since March 13th. We have e-mailed numerous times. I have been told this evening (APRIL 27TH, 2020) I was not going to receive a refund because it's not in their "student contract." Please enlighten me, what company is ready for a pandemic in their student contract? This is absurd, it's disgusting, it's appalling and heartless. I was recommended this company from my very own studio that I teach barre classes at. I was excited to continue and add Pilates training to my belt. However, if I knew online training were the route they were going to pursue I would have never signed up. I could have continued my education with many many different Pilates companies online that offer mat 1, and mat 2 for a much more affordable price. I have never been tossed around more from person to person, e-mail to e-mail than with this company. I kept my composure, I kept calm until this very evening where I'm screaming enough is enough and you all need to be warned!!! DO NOT further your education with...
Read moreBought the 5 semi sessions through coupon and was not able to schedule class through their website with my coupon. First time calling there was no answer. Second time the reception had scheduled me for the next day, but on that day I called in before the class saying I would like to move to a later schedule with them, they said there's no schedule available the only class they have is on Sunday morning 9am, I'm seeing off a friend in Saturday evening so I told the receptionist it might be hard for me for this early hour but since that's the only availability I would take it otherwise I lose the class anyways due to their 24hr cancel policy. I got to the class at 9:26, even there was only 1 other student with the tutor, the receptionist refused to bother just for a sec to let me join the class. The class is 1HR long and they forced me to lose the second half of it. Nobody informed me this policy when I was booking the class. I was very shocked and went talk to the instructor asking her can I join for the second half? She said yes and told me to change my clothes. It was my first time attending pilates I've never had experience, I told this to the receptionist and she did NOT instruct me what to bring, so I ended up with no mat, no clothes, cannot attend this class anyway and hearing the instructor talking to the other student saying how rude I was by interrupting her class. Ridiculous experience, find yourself a better studio around since there are plenty. I would NEVER...
Read moreI recently had a truly terrible experience with Power Pilates in regards to their support and management. I received a thoughtful gift of a 5-pack of classes for Christmas, only to find out that they expire after just one month.
When I reached out to them via email, hoping for a little leniency to redeem the classes within this month, I was met with a disappointing response. Despite going back and forth with their customer support, the office flat out refused to offer any kind of first-time grace period. The only way they were willing to let me use the expired classes was if I paid a fee of $30 plus tax.
As a fellow business owner, I am appalled by their lack of understanding and flexibility in this situation. It goes against basic business principles and reflects poorly on their practices. This is definitely not how you retain customers.
Needless to say, I am incredibly frustrated and deeply unhappy with Power Pilates. I strongly advise anyone reading this to take their business elsewhere. It's evident that this company is solely interested in your money and lacks any form of customer-centric approach.
Find a pilates studio that values its customers and treats them with respect. Power Pilates is not the place you want to invest your...
