Stop telling black customers to pick darker colors because YOU don’t like light colors on brown skin. The older female nail tech was argumentative about my color choice, saying that it was too light for me AKA I’m too dark so I should only choose certain colors. I answered with “can I choose the color I like?” She went out of her way to demonstrate how the color is too light for me by demonstrating how it looks on her, then trying to convince me to choose a color she thinks is better. I can literally guarantee they don’t tell white/Asian customers that they should only choose certain colors. If Karen wants pink, white, or even black they’d do it without questioning them.
I also asked for a color change on my gel nails since I recently had a manicure already at this exact location. She told me I could only get a full manicure because it’s gel ($40 for nails, $15 for regular color change on toes). My nails are still filed, my cuticles are already clipped, I only wanted a different color. I didn’t argue about their store policy, I simply walked out and went to another salon.
The next salon I went to didn’t argue with me about my color choice, and it came out just the way I wanted it to! They also did a gel color change for $25 ($15 for regular on toes) instead of forcing me to get a full gel manicure. They were so nice and complimented my choice, finishing with a shoulder massage. I tipped $15 to the tech because I was so pleased.
It’s 2023–if I can’t get treated fairly, I take my money to the next place who can.
2 point because I had an EXCELLENT first experience with the...

When I first called to schedule an appointment I asked for an acrylic fill-in and was told it could be done. I had my nails done by Kevin, who when I first came in asked me what I needed done. I said I have acrylics and would like an acrylic fill-in. He then starts to file my nails down to remove the polish, and pulls out foils to soak my nails. I stopped him and said "no, I want the length I want to get an acrylic fill-in."
They then tell me at that point that they don't do acrylic nails 🙃 so I'm here bare nails and they say they'll put sns dip powder on it to fill it in. This gets done, and it's really sloppy. Someone commenting about him being aggressive weren't kidding. Kevin's answer to everything is to file down the nails even more, and more and more and more. So I tell him "no, can you paint it over" because there were open spots all over my nail. The job done was really sloppy.
When I started getting my nails painted I started noticing the gel color separating and clumping under the UV light, I said, "what's going on." Kevin said, "don't worry about it"
After a long time of having to direct Kevin to do what I wanted on my nails. I then get charged $60 more then what I should've had to pay. I wond up paying $150 😮💨
Finally I come out and notice how horrible the polish is clumping and honestly. Never again. They said it themselves in the salon that they only like to do simple things on nails. So if you're looking for nice quality for the price this isn't the...
Read moreI'm surprised that this nail salon has as many good reviews as it does. The people here are rude and the quality of work is subpar. I came to get my nails done and the person that did them left a bunch of spots undone. I asked if they could fix it but the owner - Rachel told me that she was very busy and that she wouldn't be able to fix them. She offered to either paint white over 3 of my nails to cover everything and that it was my fault for choosing a "hard color" (meanwhile Kevin took it upon himself to do 3 coats never asked him too I like to be respectful of a nail tech's job as they know than me) or to give me $10 back. I asked if they could give me credit so that I could come get them done correctly. The owner went behind the counter, took $10 out and slammed it on the counter and basically just told me to leave. And that's not all! During the appointment, the person Kevin rushed me to pick a color, didn't do the hot towel, left cuticle oil all over my fingers and didn't even wipe the excess off (I had to ask for paper towels so I could do it myself), and didn't put any lotion on my hands. It's absolutely ridiculous that anyone could run a business this way. This place is definitely not somewhere you want to go if you're looking for quality work. Please look somewhere else. $56...
