I was in NYC a few days before Christmas and decided it was time to visit this store. Since their beginning in 2020, I have always wanted to visit this store, located in a quiet Street. I thought I would enter again that kind of elitist store that post only on social media for the fame. I was TOTALLY WRONG ! I entered in a small but welcoming space and was welcomed by Max, and he has been really friendly with me and my husband. He told us a few about the history of the brand, its values and helped me to find the perfect product that would fit me. You know I am not that kind of typical road cyclist, slim and slender. And Max made me feel like a king in his shop. Kindness, respect and love of cycling are the things he shared with me. I bought a pair of socks and a uniform bibshort. Coming back home after the holidays, i decided to try the bib it on the hometrainer. I love the material, the feeling on the skin. Great cushion with the chamois on the saddle, and the braces are offering a great support to the stomach without the feeling of restricting the movement. To be honest, itâs great quality work and I am really happy with it !!! RubberânâRoad has nothing to envy to major brands. This is really great work, and knowing the story, it is more valuable to me. Thanks for this incredible work !!! Will definitely be back in this incredible store because my biggest regret is to have not been able to meet Gil. Thank you so much for being so supportive...
Read moreI can't recommend Rubber N' Road enough! The shop is really well curated and offers high quality apparel that is hard to find elsewhere in the city. The two owners are super nice and more than willing to tell you all about the products you're interested in. They're knowledgeable and from what they tell you about the things they sell - you can really tell why they chose to stock the brands they do. I've been beyond pleased with all the things I've bought from them. I have bought online and in-store, and both are great experiences - online they shipped my order out the same day which was awesome. Highly recommend a stop by here even if its just for the coffee or on your way up the west side to the bridge. They are doing great things for the cycling community in the city and think its worth shopping there just for that, let alone everything else! ...
Read moreI'm the kind of shopper who needs to try on EVERY item on in a store (often multple times) before making a purchase- and the staff at Rubber n' Road was fully supportive of me through that process. This often involved grabbing multiple jerseys in different colors from storage boxes...
Their mix of A+ products (honestly I wanted to buy everything in the store) and really top notch costumer service makes me want to recommend them to all my cycling friends - experience of beginners. I also get very anxious talking to cycling sales peoples - but I never once felt pressure to buy anything and received really tailored advice than even lead me to spend LESS money.
AND after I made my purchase, Rubber n' Road stayed in contact via email until my new jerseys (from two really dope companies) arrived at...
