I initially loved this place—local, run by an Asian guy, and quick service. I even had my son's passport photos taken here and was hoping to make this my go-to photo printing shop.
However, my experience printing 100+ photos for a traditional album was nothing short of a nightmare. Yes, it was a large order, but the lack of care and professionalism was appalling.
Out of my first batch, all 92 photos were not trimmed correctly (had a white line or two on the sides), and five were bent. While he agreed to reprint the bent ones, he shockingly told me I would have to slowly and manually cut all 92 photos myself! Seriously? Then, for reasons I still don’t understand, I decided to print an additional 29 photos. Not only did he fail to print one of them, but three were missing—and he still wanted to charge me for them!
As a five-month-pregnant woman, I had to go back four times to get this resolved, wasting my time, much needed energy, and patience. To top it all off, he never offered a discount for the 92 misprinted photos, yet still charged me for the missing ones.
This was an incredibly frustrating experience, and I can no longer...
Read moreFirst time getting film developed and my experience at Sammy's Photo Lab was very pleasant. I got 3 rolls of films developed and put on a flash drive. I brought my own drive and it cost me $15 per roll. They were ready to be picked up the day I dropped them off but I opted to pick them up a few days later. When picking up the film, my drive (only 1gb) didn't have enough space for the footage from all 3 rolls. The owner charger $5 to have them sent to my email, so instead I just downloaded the existing 2 rolls to my computer and cleared the drive and returned it to him to download the last roll. Luckily I had my computer, but the owner seemed very patient and willing for me to comeback another time with a clean drive to get the last roll of footage. Will probably come back next time to get my...
Read moreThis is a no-frills type of place but they're insanely fast (think like, a couple hours turnaround time) and the scans - if you elect for those - are high quality (TIF files - a lot of places would charge extra for that). I dropped 3 rolls of film and got the scans sent to my inbox same day! If you choose to pick up your negatives, Sammy holds them for 2 weeks before discarding. ALSO, he's got a bin of FREE take-up spools for 120 film at the counter! There are places that charge a bit less, sure, but for the speed and quality, it's worth the price. Will definitely continue to come back here. (Heads up - it's cash only so...
