I wanted to love this place since it came highly recommended from my employees who order food from here frequently but sadly the owner is extremely rude and unprofessional. I ordered through Uber Eats and did it for pick up. i got 2 boardwalk sandwiches and 2 orders of pancakes and got two iced lattes and accidentally put vanilla syrup in both. when my boyfriend went back in to get a new one without the syrup he told him âthatâs not my problemâ ⊠after we spent $60 in total on sandwiches and pancakes, he couldnât even have the decency to fix the coffee for us. if it is in your store policy to not exchange or refund food then kindly say that. why be so rude about it ?! when i went to speak to him about it and told him i myself am a business owner and would never treat my customers like this he told me itâs ridiculous that im a business owner and i donât have enough money to pay for a new coffee⊠mind you he walked out of his establishment and yelled at me on the street to say this when i simply wanted to know what the big deal is about switching out a coffee that was wrong and why would you be so mean about it. at the end of the day itâs not about money (even though IM the one who spent $60 at HIS restaurant!!!) itâs about good customer service and human decency. donât eat at this place and support such a rude and disrespectful business owner....
   Read moreThis place is not friendly. There are multiple times I havenât come in just because I didnât want to deal with the staff. Additionally, the markups for add ons are too high. I spent forty dollars just trying to build an omelette and pancakes. I called fifteen minutes after ordering to see if it was ready for pick up, (the website said 15 minutes) and they said they didnât have the order. Then they found the ticket and said it would be another 15 minutes. Half an hour after ordering I went there and it still wasnât ready. For that amount of time, money, and the unfriendliness on multiple visits, this is a bad choice.
Addendum: the businessâs response to this post did not address the high mark ups, the long prep time, the inability to locate the order, and simply denied the staff were unfriendly and said they werenât in the business of selling feelings.    Read moreWell, we ordered 2 omelets, received sandwiches. I called and expressed we didnât receive what we ordered. The gentleman said, they are omelets, we just made them into sandwiches. I said, but we ordered rye, these are buns and why would you do that? Iâm gluten free and only ordered the toast to give to my daughter. It comes with the omelet. So why not? He then got frustrated with me and said, fine we will remake your omelets and send it to you. His reaction made me feel like; Iâll have a refund instead and not order from here again. Bummer, you guys could have said sorry and made it right. Mistakes happen, but intentionally changing omelets to sandwichâs. đ€·đ»ââïž I recommend giving people what they ordered and not change it because you feel like it?! Strange behavior. đ§ As Iâm writing this, my kids said it wasnât that great either. Maybe itâs just a bad day for them as they have good reviews. We are walking to Little Canal instead.
