Shameless Pinup & Boudoir Photography — Local services in New York

OMG, I don’t have words to say about my awesome experience I had in Shameless Photography. I was looking online for some boudoir shoots and some retro pin up. Narrowed down to few places. But Shameless stood out in terms of the quality of the pics, customer reviews. As soon as I saw the colorful backgrounds, high quality photo finish, the quality of poses, I decided to try it. Shameless New York was closer for me. So I shoot out an email and Brooke, their studio manager responded. We agreed with the dates and then the planning started.

The planning process was so much fun. I went for Calendar photoshoot. Maxine came out with ideas and themes. From then on, we exchanged emails. Finally settled for the looks that we had planned. This process is so much fun than it sound. My vocabulary on pin up clothing is much limited compared to Maxine’s. I also shipped some of my wigs ahead of time so that she can style the wigs ahead of time rather than on the day of the shoot. Turned out to be a wise suggestion as on the day of the shoot, 100% time was devoted on the photoshoot.

The site suggested to reach there on time. I highly underestimated the NY traffic. I was traveling by car. Also I couldn’t find parking around the studio immediately. There is a paid parking garage in the 11th st which charges 6 USD if you park before 10:00 AM. I parked my car there. I also had some outfits which I had bought. Maxine came and helped me to take it back to the studio.

I am usually an introvert. But the friendliness of Maxine, Venetia and Caity got me to a comfort zone immediately. While I was catching my breath, the team helped unpack some of my stuff, identified some of the dresses available in the studio for the shoot. They have got a gorgeous collection. I ended up choosing many of their ward robe choices as they were very attractive. I tried the dresses and narrowed down to dresses that we agreed on. I have to say the team helps so much in the process in deciding the outfit.

Then the makeup and the photoshoot starts. The talented Venetia started with makeup while Maxine was deep into planning. Venetia explained me about the makeup she is applying and also gave some pretty good tips about makeup in general. Caity was always on the run prepping the props etc., Maxine verified my preference about the color of backdrop etc., But I totally relied on her ideas. So my entire photoshoot was a result of her creativity.

The shoot was little physically demanding but when I see the pics, I felt it was totally worth it. Pointing the legs and arching the back are the constant feedback I kept hearing. But the pics came out very beautiful. It is not just you. Maxine herself gets into complex positions to shoot you gorgeous. Until she is satisfied she kept going on. Thats motivation in action.

I received the pics in draft 3 days after the photoshoot. I was spell bound. Again, the emails that you receive from Maxine are so full of energy. One cannot sound so genuine unless they have really given 100% into the shoot. I decided on the final images for retouching. They are very punctual and in the stipulated timeframe I received the retouched images. Needless to say they were gorgeous. I am now waiting for the final book. I have no doubt that it will be great as well.

Frankly, they pampered me so much I felt like a Royal princess for the entire day. The way they treat you is much more than a good customer service. You will also discover good friends in Maxine, Caity and Venetia. I wish them all the best in their endeavor.

Every woman deserves a day like the one I had in Shameless...

This review is long over-due. I had decided to do something different and daring also give as a gift to my Boyfriend. I did my research and came across many companies, but shameless seemed to attract my attention. Their eye for detail and also the diverse women in their collage that was not apparent with the other companies. A woman of color, I was looking for a place that I could trust that would show the essence of true beauty without making me feel uncomfortable, in addition having experience with dealing with different hair and skin tones.

I had a marvelous experience; I chose to do the 12 month calendar for the photoshoot. The staff was wonderful, kind and sensitive to the insecurities that one feels in front of the camera wearing lingerie. They are group of women that are truly knowledgeable and experts. Shameless priority was making the client feeling comfortable. At sometimes the poses may feel wired or unusual rest assured they are experts.

The pictures may take some time to arrive, which is also explained in the contract, it is worth the wait. After receiving the book (before the book is made they ask for your input, in regards to color or editing needed.) By all means the editing does not alter your looks or figure. Shameless photography uses your actual look and enhances the beauty within. I periodically look at the pictures and can't believe it is me. If you are looking for a photography company that embraces women's actual look and beauty and making it art.. This is the company to use! Absolutely one of a kind experience from the first email exchange, to the final edits and final emails of thank you. I was looking for something very special and unique. I wanted to create themed photos for my love who was on a 6 month deployment, and send one each week, to make his time go by quicker. Once I saw Shameless galery of pin up photos I knew that was it. Picked my package, scheduled my day and shared my story and my vision with Sophie and Angela (the amazing photographer in New York location). They were both so incredible, supportive and excited with me to create such fun project. And we trully had so much fun with it. From the beginning to the end, so professional and organized yet I felt the warmth of caring individuals. Sending one photo a week to him made my time waiting fun, as I was so excited for the reaction and for the next weeks to come. I am forever grateful for making my time go by faster as well, for taking so much care with these images and frankly they are not just photos, they are art. Priceless, ageless, art. The hair and make up, the wardrobe, Angela's eye, quality of the edits and prints... Absolutely stunning.
