Pros Much more spacious than most luxury buildings in LIC + high ceilings Great views above 12th floor or so Very good, central location with easy access to many stores and subway lines

Cons Building management went from poor to atrocious with AKAM taking over. Weeks to get approval for minor things, from disinterested, unfriendly staff. Just read the lengthy negative reviews at the AKAM NYC location, you’ll find them among a sea of fake reviews For prospective renters, be prepared to go through an incredibly tedious application process (yes, to rent), spend $1k on application fees q, and wait more than 3 weeks for AKAM to process your application. Be aware of this if your move-in date is less than a month away. Despite central air, extremely humid in the summer, creating a much more luxury experience for mold than it does for humans For ludicrously expensive units you're looking at cheap, crudely built interiors: lopsided drawers, loose doorknobs, easily damaged and creaky floors, Temu quality curtains… all of which leaves you wondering about the building integrity itself Barely passable amenities — mediocre compared to that of other buildings in the area. There’s a sound in the vent in the kitchen that is quite loud. It’s like living in a wind tunnel. I’m told that it’s a flaw in the building design.
