Stellar Hardware & Bath — Local services in New York

After failed attempts of locating what I figured was a simple plumbing part, calling lots of well known places in Brooklyn and Manhattan (including the well stocked NY Replacement parts - who said they wouldn't have anything close to what I needed,) I called Stellar Hardware and Bath looking for that special washer for a commercial bath faucet - I needed it to complete a commercial job I had in midtown. After describing it on the phone, Edison mentioned that he didn't think he had it, but said if I send him a photo of it to his email and my number, he will look into it. Well 15 minutes later, Edison called me and said he's pretty sure he has the parts I need and to "just pull up in front of the place" and call him when I'm there, which I did 10 minutes later. Not only did Edison of Stellar hardware and bath come out to my car, but he gave me a handful of parts that would work. After offering to pay, he refused any money and said "no charge". Wow, just what I needed after just about giving up on this part so I could finish a job for my customer. As far as Bath parts, I know they mostly sell bath fixtures, in addition to basic hardware, but they managed to go out of their league to satisfy a customer. The only cons of this place is that it's hard to find a place to park in that part of Manhattan, but a remedy was figured out for that too. Thanks Edison, you...

This place has taken great care of me twice when I needed particular fixtures for the apartment my mother moved into in New York City. They have about a million of these all around the walls of their store, and apparently another million somewhere in the basement!

My purchase was quite small (a few towel bars and hooks), but they were very attentive and took good care of what I was looking for and found exactly what I wanted and needed each time.

The place is not glitzy, but their stock is very nice, they know what they're doing, and how to ask the right questions to find what you're looking for.
