All aboard the Tall Ship Wavertree! This is a 19th century cargo sailing vessel that people can come on, explore, and learn a piece of history. This museum ship is docked on Pier 16, easily accessible by car or subway. After you pay the toll (it is pay-what-you-wish), you will arrive on deck. Some areas may be closed off for maintenance, repairs, or just restricted for staff only. On board, you can do arts and crafts, sing ship shanties, watch a historical video, or admire the ship's riggings and components. Especially the ship's riggings! The riggings are all function in every respect, thanks to the ship's crew (both volunteers and professionals) maintenance. Hopefully, restoration to the other important components can be done soon. If so, we may see the ship sail again!

Don't forget to also check out the Schermerhorn Row, Lightship Ambrose, Schooner Pioneer and Tugboard W.O. Decker, Bowne & Co, and the South Street...

Great experience and a great way to learn about the history of...

Well maintained and restored (for the rigging and woodwork). Very friendly tour-guides/employees, especially the young lady by the anchor winch who advised me about this tour operator's...
