The good stuff first: My server was prompt, polite, and kept us in the loop on how our food was going. The greeter (manager? owner?) was welcoming and brought us to a table quickly and was very pleasant. The food was also fine for what I'd expect at a barbecue or food truck.
The less than great stuff: It took our food like 40 - 45 minutes to come out. That's a long time after you've put in your order, gotten your drinks, etc. Our waiter was decent enough to apologize, twice, to us, so credit is due there. But honestly, for a shrimp po' boy, two fish tacos, a hot dog wrapped in cheese (kids menu), and a cheese quesadilla (kids menu) it should not take that long to get one's food. The place had a decent amount of people, but most of them were drinking, not eating.
And a shrimp po' boy, two fish tacos, a cheese dog, and a quesadilla, an order of fries, plus one fruit punch and a large bottle of water cost $75 without tip. Read that again. I get that it's NYC and this is in Seaport, but this was food truck caliber food at best (presentation: Everything arrived in individual cardboard trays). In fact, the kitchen structure of this boardwalk bistro is like a literal food truck.
After tip it all came out to like $85+, for the above.
Coupled with how long we waited, if it wasn't for the solid waiter and the fact that the food was decent, I would say I was extremely disappointed. But it's a nice place with a solid atmosphere and a good staff. I recommend going there to relax and have a cocktail by the water, but only order food if you're not starving and it's more like bar food for you to accompany your drinks. We went for dinner, so that was our problem.

Read moreI visited this restaurant recently. They would not serve food, only drinks even though they had a food special going on. Every single employee was horrible. I arrived around 3PM and asked when they would serve food. Here’s what different and the same employee said:
“In 40 minutes” “At 4 o’clock” “At 5 o’clock” “I don’t know”
A woman employee with a white tennis skirt with dark brown hair wearing a low bun had the nerve to say “I need you to order something or my boss might get mad.” Well no one could! She also dropped items while trying to make a drink…embarrassing.
It was obvious no one knew what was going on. The manager in a salmon colored shirt was confused and never served any guests in the area I was sitting in. Everyone was waiting on the food and a stranger nearby was complaining out loud about their horrible service (rightfully so).
They were also unaware of any of the prices on the menu and had to look up each item one by one. How long have you all worked here? We came to this place because the vibes look great but the truth is that every employee lacks knowledge and every customer was visibly upset or annoyed. And if they’re hosting an event? Forget about you. To them, you...
Read moreMy fiance and I recently had the pleasure of celebrating our engagement with family and friends at the most charming seafood restaurant right on the pier, and I can't sing its praises enough! From start to finish, our experience was absolutely delightful.
The casual, laid-back atmosphere was perfect for our special occasion, and the views of the water added an extra touch of magic. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel like we were the only ones there even though it was comfortably uncrowded.
Making a reservation was a breeze, which was our biggest concern since it was a last minute get together after being just engaged the week before. We loved that they allowed us to block off a section for our party of 20 and didn't require a minimum or prix fix menu. The servers and bartenders were top-notch—always smiling and quick with recommendations, which made our meal even more enjoyable.
If you're looking for a place where you can relax, eat good seafood, and celebrate with a personal touch, this pier-side gem is the perfect choice. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to host our casual engagement party and can’t wait for...
