West 14 Apothecary ( Also Known as West 14 Street Prescription Center) — Local services in New York

Today I was treated like a third class citizen. I called in my prescriptions on Monday, January 29th to be picked up on Wednesday, January 31st. I was told it will be ready for pick up at 9:30 am. I arrived at the pharmacy at 935am and the door was closed. The pharmacist and tech were present and saw me waiting. Approximately, 950am a White customer came to the door. The tech opened the door served the White man first knowing I was there before him. I confronted the tech and pharmacist that I did not appreciate the obvious discrimination. I told him my money is as green as the White man. I never want to experience that ever again. I am informing my physician to change my pharmacist as they do not deserve my or other people of color business. The irony here is that they are of Indian descent and have a darker skin color. They went out of their way to help me transfer a prescription from a different drug store and a different state. BUT what really sticks out at this little diamond in the ruff on 14th was they went out of their way to SAVE ME MONEY. By now most of us have heard about the Good Rx card but where u really save the money is the GOOD Rx APP. The App shows the comparative pricing at the other drug stores. It was the pharmacist here who shared this morsel. At Walgreens it was 300...at CVS 80 AND HERE using the APP it was 18 dollars. They saw that RITE AID had provided a coupon WHICH THEY HONORED. I am retired from CBS and every dollar counts. With the extra money I got back I stopped at a pub for a drink which because of the dedication of the PHARMACIST HERE....I GOT FREE.

I recently visited West 14th Apothecary and had the pleasure of working with Manny to fill a prescription. From the moment I walked in, I was struck by the warm and welcoming atmosphere of the store.

Manny was incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to ensure that I received the best possible care. He took the time to listen to my concerns and answered all of my questions with patience and expertise. His knowledge of prescription medications and health-related issues was truly impressive, and I felt confident that I was in good hands.

Overall, my experience at West 14th Apothecary was top-notch. Manny's kindness and professionalism made the process of filling my prescription stress-free and enjoyable. I highly recommend this store and can't wait to visit again...
