6/2022: Whole wheat Margherita was very good and could eat the whole crust. Arrived a bit cold, but difficult to keep hot unless pick up. Basil was very fresh. Difficult to find whole grain pizza. Reasonable price. - Former Rocky's Pizza, renovated and changed pizza chefs and everything is new according to the employees -> now called Rosetta Pizza. - The veggie slice was also very good, and didn't seem too salty or greasy, though I think evoo on pizza is a good thing if it is on it. 3/23/2023: They didn't have any whole wheat slices around 8pm on this Thursday. There weren't many veggie slices either. I instead tried the basil pesto grandma slice, with a chunky tomato sauce and very tender wheat based crust, and it was quite good, though expensive considering the smaller slice for $5. I believe the square margherita plain sauce with basil with fresh mozzarella is $1 less. I took it out in my stainless steel restaurant container, and it is pictured below.

I recently visited Rosetta Pizza and was blown away by the deliciousness of their classic slice. The pizza had the perfect balance of three sauce (tomato, pesto and vodka), cheese, and handmade thin crust, and the slice was big enough to fill me up. I appreciated the wide range of options on the menu, including salads, calzones, wraps, cheesesteaks, hamburgers, and pasta. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and the atmosphere inside the store was cozy and inviting. I was pleasantly surprised to find a few tables outside as well, which was a nice option on a beautiful day. Overall, I had a great experience at Rosetta Pizza and I would definitely visit again and recommend it to others who are looking for a tasty slice in NYC.

Ordered a penne alla vodka with chicken to share with my friend, we also had a slice of pizza. The place may be small, but the way it fills up just lets you know it’s going to be good food. 🍝 The pasta was coated with generous amount of sauce that was perfectly hot to enjoy, creamy and not overwhelming to taste. 🍕I was craving pizza and this perfectly fulfilled it, the dough was soft and perfectly fluffy. Yummy yummy om nom nom nom. The service is very nice, I felt bad that my friend and I didnt hear our order (the place was really full.) The workers brought the pasta over to our table and it was very kind of them! Definitely be on alert when they call your order though!

If I could rate no stars I would. Absolutely the nastiest pizzeria I have bought a slice from. I asked for two slices in which they were grabbed with bare hands to toss into the oven. I purposely decided to pay him after my pizzas were done so he doesnt accept my money and try touching my pizza. When he calls me to pay, I payed him 7 dollars in singles for what he needed to count all and then provide me .65 cents in change. By this time, mr unsanitary has touched bills and coins. I sat down to eat and I see him do the same with another customer and by the time he was done charging the customer he would go and start stretching dough to prepare the next pizza pie. Just imagine someone stretching dough right after picking up a phone that was ringing often and adding the handling of money which in my eyes is the dirtiest thing since it goes around from people to people, etc. He seemed to have gone to the bathroom in the back and came out in less than one minute. Im pretty sure he didn't wash his hands.

I had to say something and asked him if they use gloves or why he touched pizza after taking money and his response was "I'm the only one here." I responded "well you could put gloves on or wash your hands" and his response was "if I washed my hands too much it wouldn't be good for my hands and gloves don't allow me to work good," wow!. Then he tells me if I don't like it to just not come back. People please avoid this pizzeria. If you wouldn't handle your pizza or food in this manner then just avoid this place and any other pizzerias out there doing this. This is so unsanitary and so disappointed. Then again it explains why they currently have a pending grade and...

We came in and asked for four cheese slices, which they were out of, but we were told that was what we would be charged for. We were ultimately charged for the veggie/marg slices we had to get instead. When we brought up that we were charged more than agreed to the cashier was very defensive and claimed that no one ever said that. Eventually, we just accepted it amongst ourseleves and were eating our pizza at a table, when an employee returned upon bringing our friends their food and decided to rehash the argument, claiming once again that these were for sure the prices and we were wrong. Ultimately, we had already decided that it was overpriced but it was fine for now, although if we had known how expensive it would have been ahead of time we would have gone elsewhere. It just felt unnecessary for anyone to come up to us after the fact and continue trying to discuss it, when we had already made our peace and decided it was fine.

Additionally, our vegan friend ordered a plain pasta with no meat sauce and got charged for extra meat sauce. They had to debate with an employee to get a refund. They also gave our other friend the wrong soup, which they did correct after we asked, but it was long after everyone else had finished eating and were ready to leave.

In general, the whole experience felt exploitative towards people coming from clubs/bars who might not question the price/extra charges after looking at the menu or speaking with workers. There were many people waiting to order so it felt difficult to discuss prices, and what we were told was clearly not translated to the register. It didn't feel fair to us or the many people behind us waiting for...

I tend to read reviews about the restaurants im about to try for the first time. Regardless of the positive and negative reviews i always like to try it myself and decided whether or not the reviews are exaggerating.

For the first time, I should have listened to the reviews and found a better restaurant to spend my money on.

The first time i had order two pastas, my co-worker had said the pasta was very tasteful and amazing. Why not? I recieve the pastas, after waiting an hour or so, and they look delicious. After tasting the food, I realized it wasnt as good as i expected. For a downtown restaurant I expected it to WOW me but instead it was a disappointment. Not long after I had finished, I began to feel sick and nauseous. Well what do you know, I had food poisoning.

My second and final time, I was invited out to eat and the place was choosen. Pasta was a disappointment, let me try the pizza. No crust, not tasteful, burnt, just absolutely gross. Not to mention the staff are rude, racist, homophobic, and this time my friend got food poisoning.

I myself work at a restaurant and we tend to do our best to ensure our customers are satisfied and content with our food and service. The fact that they are still open shocks me. This place needs new management or need to be shut down.

You'll get good service..........ONLY if your white.

Listen to the reviews and...
