Relaxation Station — Local services in North Charleston

Went today as my neck has been giving me a lot of pain from work. The massage itself was good, although VERY rough. Almost considered asking the lady to be more gentle but decided to just let her do her thing. From the time she started to the time she ended was 13 minutes. I payed for a 15 minute massage so I wish I had gotten the full time I payed for. As I was going to check out, I told the woman that I would be paying for myself, my mom and sister, a total of $60. Despite me saying this, she took my card, ran it for only $20, and then expresses to me that they do not take Discover. The charge had already hit my account and a receipt printed, so I told her that it did indeed charge the card. She then goes on to tell me that I must give her $3. Nowhere does it say that they do not take Discover and that it is an additional charge to use it. My poor mom then comes up with cash to pay for their massages and the tip them AND give them the extra $3. In my opinion, I think they should have been responsible for the $3 as they had happily ran my card without even telling me about the additional fee. Almost makes me wonder if the additional fee is even real. Definitely not a place with good customer service so will not...

I popped into the Relax Station for Mother’s Day, as a gift to myself. I requested the 20 mins feet/ 20 mins body massage. ($45) The foot portion was done in a puffy leather-like chair with a neck pillow and oversized ottoman for my feet & legs. The massage therapist brought over a large bucket of warm water to wash my feet before starting the massage. The pressure was spot-on! He checked in with me throughout the whole process to make sure I was comfortable and that the pressure wasn’t too hard. He was clearly in tune with what areas needed more attention. After the feet and leg portion, he had me move to the massage chair. I could feel years worth of knots being rolled out. By the end of massage, there was quite a few people lined up. But I never once felt rushed, if anything I got extra time. I left feeling massage-drunk and grateful for going there.

I love getting my massages from Relax Station! I usually get Linda but really everyone there is so nice and accommodating. I believe it's just first come first serve, but that's perfect for my crazy schedule... so I can just walk in whenever. There's usually not a wait when I go but if there is, it's not too ridiculous. I like to get a chair or table massage as they always take great care of me and know how to get the rough spots out. It's easy to tell them what areas I need them to work on (I just point) and they always do a fantastic job.
