Douglass Fudge — Local services in Ocean City

When walking on the boardwalk visiting Ocean City, New Jersey this past June, I received a free sample outside of Douglas fudge shop of their vanilla fudge, and it was so phenomenal, I went in the store to buy some. Now I will say, I consider myself a fudge connoisseur! I buy it everywhere I go and sample it everywhere I go because I love it! The vanilla fudge that I sampled was the best I had ever had - it was so smooth and so creamy it melted in your mouth like butter! So, I went in the store and sampled some other flavors and ended up getting 2 pounds of the vanilla, milk chocolate, and peanut butter as they were all fabulous! I ended up going in there every day for the week I was there, to the point where they started recognizing me when I walked in! LOL! The staff is so friendly and make you feel like family! I also love that fudge is covered behind the case because a lot of the other fudge shops I went into on the Jersey boardwalk do not cover it and often times you will see nats or fruit flies flying around that land on it behind the case (a big no no for me)! I am actually going back next week and this will be my first stop on the boardwalk! I was currently in the market to purchase an order of fresh fudge, we were first greeted by a customer service representative offering sample out on the boardwalk. This quality sample confirmed my decision and preceeded to explore the storefront of organized & colorful taffys, beautiful display of other treats, and along the back wall was the holy grail of various flavors of hand made fudge. I stepped into Douglass Fudge after being lured in by the delicious free cookies and cream fudge sample outside the store.

The interior was bright, clean, and neat and the candy displays were attractive and tidy. The staff, both friendly and attentive, invited me to try samples of the fudge. All were rich, flavorful, and decadent.

For a little over $20, I purchased 5 bars of different flavors which equaled about 1 pound of fudge. This is will be added to my personal Good Eats...
