Update after reading owner's response: To the owner: Thank you very much for taking the time and responding in very detail. I really appreciate that! It hasn't been my intention to hurt your business in any way but I wanted to make sure my feedback is heard - which I now understand it really has been. For that reason I'll change the review to 3 stars but would like to emphasize one more time that it's not the food that's been criticized (because it was great) and not even that my order had fallen through the cracks (which definitely can happen and you had apologized for that and even reviewed your ordering process after that). It was about the cashier's action (or non-action) to double-check about my order and then later even responded with some lame excuse that it had not been at all her fault that the miss hadn't been brought to light already when I asked the first time. OK, enough said. I'm good and really hope you'll have better luck with finding more personnel so that your business can flourish. Thank you very much for the gift card offer but unfortunately we won't have a chance to take advantage of that any time soon. We were just coming through town and that won't be happening so soon anymore. So please feel free to use that gift card for any other worthy reason, or make a donation, or simply invest in your business. All the best! Original feedback (unchanged): Food was great (2 crepes for to-go) once we've actually received it 50 minutes after ordering. Yes, they had forgotten about it, which can happen with the staff shortage they are supposedly suffering from. But what's uncalled for was the cashier's attitude of not even checking what's going on with the order and claiming it's in the works (although it wasn't) when I asked the first time. But then, when people received their food who had ordered long after we had and hence the mistake came out, still claiming that I could just have been waiting in line with my order and she basically hadn't done anything wrong. That was just too much and made this review...

Unfortunately, my experience at Sapori Italian Bakery & Coffee was quite disappointing. Although the girl who attended me was very kind, the service left much to be desired. I was in a hurry and quickly ordered a "pizza" with tomato, ricotta, spinach, and sauce, trusting that I would receive what I imagined: a traditional pizza. When I opened my order at the bus stop, just two blocks from the shop, I was deeply disappointed to find a crepe instead of the pizza I expected. Yes, I later realized that the menu described it as a "pizza crepe," but in my rush and given the lack of explanation from the staff, this wasn’t clear to me at the time of purchase. If someone at the shop had specified that what I was ordering was a crepe, or if there had been a more obvious clarification, I would have understood. However, the fact that it was handed to me without any explanation left me unsatisfied and disappointed.

I paid nearly $12 for a dish that did not meet my expectations, and the surprise was so unpleasant that I completely lost my appetite. I was expecting an authentic pizza, and what I received was far from what I had in mind. I hope Sapori considers improving their communication with customers and ensures that what is delivered more clearly aligns with the expectations set by their menu descriptions. While the service was kind, it’s crucial that it also lives up to what...

This is a cute little spot. When you walk in you feel European vibes. How it works is you go up to the counter and place your order and then you can sit down and eat it at the table.

We came here because my pregnant wife was craving hot chocolate and a croissant and she was recommended to come here.

The food we got was all delicious ! We got the Nutella croissant with coco flakes on top and a pasta with basil pesto, mozzarella and tomato.

The food was delicious !

We also ordered a large hot chocolate. Turns out they didn’t have enough to make one , barely had enough for a small so they gave us that instead.

It was a let down though the hot chocolate we did have was good.

Customer service is amazing. The staff is very friendly and kind.

The reason I gave 3 stars is because the hot chocolate. They said they didn’t make enough to have and they were sorry. The reason this bothered me is because it is cold season and you are a bakery and should be in top of your inventory. I would go back though if I want hot chocolate this wouldn’t be my first spot being I don’t know if they will have their inventory so I’m not going to do the 15/20 minute drive and not know.

Overall great spot. They had some other pastries that looked...

Hidden gem alert! @saporicateringllc in Ogden might just be our favorite bakery in Utah. Every item on their menu is as delicious as it is beautiful—seriously, everything is a must-try. Be sure to save this reel and make a stop next time you’re in Ogden!

Tried a cassata (not quite the right word for what they’re offering, but whatever) and some cannoli. Both are fine if you’re from Utah and like super-sweet pastries, but the cassata was apparently just sugar cookie dough filled with cannoli filling (no chocolate chips) and the cannoli was covered in chocolate jimmies and a cherry? I’m all for breaking traditions, but I feel strongly that cannoli should have chocolate chips. This bakery is fine, but it’s far from authentic Italian or Italian-American food as far as the items I tried go. Expensive for what they offer. Edit: after seeing owner’s response, it seems we just have different backgrounds in Italian food, and they’re staying true to their history–which is commendable. My family originates in both Sicily and northern Italy; I expected the pastries I grew up eating in upstate NY or the treats my grandfather used to make. Those are apparently different–if you are looking to scratch an itch rooted in pastaciotti or cannoli cake, this might not scratch it, but they have their merits.
