Incredible. Not the food, not the drinks, but the management.
I've been here several times, brought friends, and twice my boyfriend took me. We live 31 minutes away. He is 62, and they wouldn't let us in to eat because he forgot his wallet at home.
My boyfriend just said, “ Come on? Can we eat and not be served liquor?” They said no, and we left.
I went back two weeks ago. My ID had an issue. I inquired about it. They said it was nothing.
My boyfriend took me on a date tonight. My ID was flagged again, so I asked again, "What's the issue with my ID?"
The male bartender said, "We have flagged your ID because YOU were rude to our wait staff." I was shocked. I have never had an issue, and I haven't had a problem. He then said, "Well, it was your husband."
My husband has been dead for six years, so it indeed wasn't him.
I suppose my boyfriend shared his disappointment over not being able to eat, whether or not we were served alcohol, was the issue. Yes, we get it. Utah Laws.
I wasn't going to stay there and discuss it. I told him if they didn't want our business, we could leave. He said, "I don't need your business if you're going to be rude to my waitstaff."
We left.
If they had an issue, they should have let us know we were not welcome when he spoke up and asked if we could eat without alcohol.
They could have let me know when I went to lunch, but they didn't, and I asked!
My boyfriend wasn't rude. He was disappointed because he knew I liked the tamales and was upset he had forgotten his wallet. He was upset we couldn't eat, but he was not upset with the staff.
If they need to flag customers over stupid policies, that is not the business's fault. They don't need to be in business. He wasn't an ass, but you know who is an ass. Every employee I dealt with at lunch didn't speak up, and the bar manager did tonight.
He was aggressive and rude, far beyond my boyfriend's response to their policies.
There is a reason this business is always empty.
I will never be back, and I deleted my five-star review. This restaurant lost my business for good. I'll be letting those I have brought in know as well.
The taste tonight left can not be repaired. I've never had a bad restaurant experience, but tonight sure made up for years of dining out.
Good riddance!
I would also add making assumptions about a male and a female is problematic. Say, I went with a man that was rude. When I returned with another male perhaps a client. You are then aggressively coming after someone with no connection to an event that happened three months earlier.

Read moreOur dinner at Xalisco was unforgettable, thanks to the incredible service from our waitress, Stephanie!!!! From the moment we sat down, Stephanie made us feel so welcome—this was our first visit to Xalisco and she guided us through the menu, making thoughtful recommendations, and ensuring that every dish was absolutely perfect.
We tried the asada burrito (which was huge!), the birria tacos, and the poblano cheese tamale—all amazing! But my favorite was the al pastor taco—it was beyond delicious! Everything is made fresh, pairing that with Stephanie’s next-level attentiveness made the night perfect. She went above and beyond to check in, make sure we loved our food, and created an experience that made us excited to come back!
There was a birthday celebration at a nearby table and they light a firework candle along with playing music and lighting the bar with flames! It was so fun! Now I need to go here for my birthday!
On top of that, the drinks were spot-on, adding the perfect touch to our meal. We will definitely be back, and we hope Stephanie is there to make our next visit just as fantastic! Highly recommend this spot—not just for the food but for the...
Read moreI used to love this place and I was a regular here but tonight was the exception, one of the waitress said I was rude and I always complain when I come to eat here, when all I ask for was no cheese and cream on my food because I'm lactose intolerant and I just can't have it, so a manager came to talk to me and my Fiancée about a problem in my order and told us I was rude about it. The food I got was all covered in cheese, I even kept it because there was no reason to have them remake it and it wasn't worth fighting about it so I paid for it regardless. I didn't ask for a manager or made it a big of deal. They just came up to us when we were in the middle of eating our food (I got 2 different plates, one was alright no cheese or cream) and asked to take my plate away and it felt like they were kicking us out when they handed us the card reader to pay when we weren't ready to leave. It was my favorite restaurant but I ain't ever coming back here, they were rude to me, and I have never felt so disrespected in my life... for basically asking them to take something off my food that can...
