Worst Thai food experience I've ever had. We ordered fresh spring rolls, beef vegetables and peanut sauce, and chicken Pad Thai. The beef and vegetables consisted of a handful of shriveled, gray, overcooked beef pieces that tasted like reheated grisly stew meat, and array of awkwardly sliced vegetables that were varying degrees of being cooked (some soft and mushy, some slightly crunchy). The spring rolls were dry, and the peanut sauce was about the quality that you buy in a bottle from the store. The Pad Thai was very disappointing. It contained approximately three pieces of chicken, had a soupy consistency, and had even less flavor than it did chicken. I am a college student, and my husband and I work very hard for what we have, so splurging on Thai food is a special night for us. Unfortunately, the only thing that made this meal edible (we couldn't afford to not eat it) was to remove the offensive beef and mushy vegetables and douse everything in peanut sauce. If you live in South Ogden and are thinking this is a closer option for Thai food, my advice is to drive the extra 10 minutes or so and get your food from...
Read moreI used to come here all the time a few years back, but this time around was a big disappointment. My daughter and I really love this place so we drove from slc to eat lunch, we order our usual favs. We ordered our favorite eggrolls, which we received cold in the middle, we also ordered our yellow curry with tofu, but the curry was bland, absolutely no flavor. I told our waitress about it and asked her to please have the chef remake it. She comes back and just says that they added spice to it and they didn’t remake it, again still no flavor. I asked our waitress to please take it off the bill, she did not. I asked, I’m assuming the owner to please take it off our bill because it was not up to our satisfaction. She gave me a dirty look and asked me what was wrong with it, even though she knew what was wrong. I told her and she took it off the bill but gave me attitude about it. I have been a customer of theirs for almost 10 years, I get that times are tough and inflation is outrageous, but to be cheap with customers is not the way to go about it. Bangkok garden lost a...
Read moreI never know how a Thai restaurant places it's food on a heat scale, so I tend to prefer a place with 5 or more heat levels so I can get my food just right. My brother and I picked Bangkok Garden because it was close to the Megaplex, and because we had not been here yet. The menu only had mild, medium, and hot, so to start I was a little unsure of our selection. We started off with fried pork wonton and iced Thai tea with lime juice. I loved the wonton, the sweet chili dipping sauce was excellent, and the pork wontons were well seasoned and fried perfectly crispy. The tea I gave to my brother, it was not quite what I expected, though it was good. I had the pork pineapple curry at mild, then added a little spice from the rack and my brother, who tends to like things a little more spicy, had pork green curry at medium heat. The food was excellent, the service was great, the atmosphere was relaxing and charming. The food was prepared promptly and we are looking forward to...
