Years of pleasant experiences and tens of thousand dollars after was ruined by this ONE bad experience of the service given by the cashier name Genesis M. Register Number 4903 Store 374 Transaction 8456 on 4/29/2024 at 8:05pm!
I could not believe my eyes and the things im hearing the way she responded to my NORMAL questions based on my experiences shopping for YEARS and literally TENS OF THOUSAND DOLLARS with Nordstrom / Rack. Needless to say of my familiarity and the literal rules of the do's and dont's of the employees.
my return of a defective item was right away refused without trying to discuss with a store manager or to understand my situation. I am not returning a USED item, it was literally defective and I purchased lots of other items that day totaling $1176. of course there will be chances of me not catching the defective item upon purchase.
miss markdowns on their end was not checked when I request her to check if the price might be the same! she just said, "it is what it is according to the tag" but VOILA it is NOT! Got ya. the price automatically adjusted when you scanned it right Genesis? Please know your stuff! or maybe you need to get RETRAINED! (Attention Ontario Rack Store Manager, Im calling you out!)
Was politely asking if they have a case for the sunglasses I am purchasing. She said no case, and in my experience FOR YEARS! another generic case / brand is going to be offered for it. I have to literally asked couple times until she said "Ok im going to give you whatever, i dont care!" Really Genesis? Is that what you are going to say to your daily customer? Is my question not a normal question? Am i not polite to you? Do I raise my voice?
Asking if a slightly torn shoes from their store would be qualified for another possible discount, as in my experience, it was always honored. but i got a straight 'NO' I am fine with a no as well, but your attitude was not fine at all!
I hope maybe you got a bad day so I can forget about all these and sympathize with you, BUT if you do not have a bad day you seriously need to retrain yourself to be working in the customer based industry. Please take yourself off from dealing with humans, and please take your attitudes to those shoes and shirts instead, not humans. Learn to treat customers with decency. Im not asking for a five stars red carpet service, I am asking only for DECENCY.

I went in with my partner to look at an outfit he was trying on, and she banged on the door like a police raid, demanding I get out because only “one person is allowed at all times”
Okay no problem. Next customer walks in, a white woman, she allows her to go in one room with her teenager son.
I gently asked her what the difference was? She immediately huffed and puffed, rolled her eyes and started spewing out that it’s a family. That since it’s her son it’s fine. Look, I do not work there. I just went based off of what she told me in my interaction with her.
I’m just letting her talk up until she goes, “DO YOU UNDERSTAND? DOES THAT MAKE SENSE? DO YOU NEED ME TO REPEAT THAT OR EXPLAIN IT IN A DIFFERENT WAY FOR YOU TO UNDERSTAND?”
Very loudly so the whole entire fitting room heard. I have never felt so humiliated as a long time customer here, let alone as a customer at ANY respectable facility. Not only was I speaking to her with perfect English the entire time, I was born here in America. She basically insinuated that I didn’t comprehend English and that I should have all their fitting room policies memorized by heart.

They got a better selection online . Lot of polyester and made in china clothes sold at premium . Very disappointed . They do have clothes shoes beauty products and home product but thrir price isnt as competitive as home goods tj maxx or marshalls where u can find the same or even bigger names for a lot cheapper . A lot of their stock look super old and outdated not just previous season more like couple years .
