Looked at getting the LEGO Hocus Pocus set and realized it had a HUGE markup. LEGO has it listed for $229.99 and Teton was selling it for $329.99. Almost a 50% markup above MSRP! Another set I looked at had a $130 markup. I’m all for supporting a local store and even paying a little more but not when they are openly taking advantage of you. I’m sure their argument is that they provide better “service” but of the few times I have been there, the only interactions are when you go to check out. I was quite surprised, however, to find that most (or all?) of the Lego sets at Teton appeared to be priced ABOVE Lego's suggested retail price. I own a retail shop myself and I totally understand the need to make a decent margin on your products and I understand that you'll sometimes be more expensive than Amazon or Target. But pricing above MSRP? And doing it when there's a competitor just down the hall that sells at the regular price? I don't get it.
