1st couple visits was confusing (no help, no smiles, no eye contact) 2nd visit I bought some building supplies and ordered it for delivery. AL the delivery guy was great. Although I didn't get a call 15 min prior as they said they would. (Just to let me know they're on their way) .... but it's no big deal. My home is kind of confusing to find. I appreciate AL taking the time to call me, so I could help with directions. He also gave me my receipt as the cashier during checkout promised he would. Although 1 of several was the wrong supplies. They had no problem picking it back up within 10 minutes. The next day I went down and picked out the right supplies and added more for delivery. From my previous experience with delivery, I thought the process would be the same. But it was not close. I learned that it was a different delivery driver this time. I got a call about 12pm saying their coming up to deliver my stuff. So I rushed home and waited. An hour and a half passed and still nothing. So I called and they said they're still on their way and they they had other deliveries as well. (I thought they might have got lost) 3pm came around so I had to go pick up my kids. I went and picked them up and called again to see what the delay was. The driver told the store clerk that he did deliver my items. I informed her that I didn't get my order. The delivery driver told the clerk to tell me to wait outside my house so he can figure out where I lived. I did so, waited 5 min in the heat. Finally he drove up, I waived him down. He said my address in a 'abbreviated' way. I said yes. And I showed him my house number. He went on to saying that I didn't put my right address..... Really?... I could have laughed but by that time I have waisted half my day waiting on this guy. So I basically informed him it's the same thing and that the previous driver didn't have a problem calling me that he couldnt find my address. He said well in not him and he still tried to blame me for 1. him not having my paperwork 2. not getting my address correct and 3. dropping my stuff that I paid for at the wrong address. I called Rayleigh back. She was very understanding and directed me to the store manager. He to was also understandable. I hope my next experience is not as complicated as this. I eventually got my items, there was no apology from the gentleman that didn't get my...
Read moreHardworking, helpful folks here. We could nitpick prices, but these folks are local - saves ~250 miles round trip to Flag or St. G. - and the prices are quite reasonable. If they don't have what you need, they'll point you in the right direction or order it if they can. They deliver, they work to get your order right, and they give excellent advice - even when I ask a stupid question (and I've asked a few). Yup, they are the only lumberyard in town and I am thankful, truly, for them. You won't find better service. Remember - You can always find a 'better' price - but can you get to it / it get to you cost effectively and will the 'other guy' treat you right? 19+ year customer, penny...
Read moreI had a great experience at Page Lumber while passing through town for a project. The staff was friendly and helpful—especially “Doc,” who went out of his way to answer my questions and make sure I found what I needed. The selection of hardware and building materials was surprisingly solid for a small-town store, and I appreciated the local, old-school feel.
The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that on a follow-up visit, the service wasn’t quite as consistent. That said, it’s still a reliable place to grab supplies without having to drive hours to a big-box store. Definitely recommend checking them out if you’re...
