Definitely a great place to eat, food was really flavorful, sauces were tasty, green tea hot and good quality. Overall customer service and food totally worth going back for round two. My husband ordered the Udon Tempura he said it was really good but next time he'll request the Tempura on the side since it went soggy fast and wasn't fond of that. I ordered the salmon bento good deal for the purchase it came with (3) vegetable tempura pieces, (3) pot stickers, white rice, teriyaki salmon filet, and salad (ranch dressing). I was hoping for a house dressing but ranch is a good choice if you like ranch if not you'll definitely want to ask for a different flavor. When we were done eating we sat there for a bit long waiting on our check. Luckily one of the waitresses noticed we were waiting and informed us that we could pay for our food on our way out at the cash register when we were ready. Maybe an oversight on our waiters part but from working in food service previously for over 20+ years it's a waiter/waitresses experience that says ask if their customer has been before, if not guide them and suggest items, is so stoll offer specials or suggestions if requested.

I truly hate writing a bad review... but I also hate being mislead by so many good reviews! My husband and I dined here because of those good reviews. We were disappointed. The waitress took our order and looked slightly confused when my husband ordered chirashi, one of the dishes on the menu. I ordered the spring roll appetizer and the teriyaki beef with rice. She walked into the back and came out and told my husband they didn't have the item he'd ordered... so he ordered 3 sushi rolls instead. She walked to the back and almost immediately returned with my teriyaki beef. My husband told me to start on my food and I was halfway through when the server finally brought my appetizer. :/ I was ready to box my leftover food when my husband's rolls arrived. He LOVES sushi and knows good sushi... this wasn't it. He said the rolls were warm, sliced too thin, were not wrapped tightly and tasted like they used Kraft mayo in them. He also said the fish was sliced much to thin. Our total bill out the door was $90! Pretty steep for a mediocre meal.

Stopped in for some sushi after a day of hiking. We were quickly seated and were given menus. The servers were all awesome and super attentive. The food we ordered always came out lightening fast! We ordered 2 sashimi combos, side fried rice, kimchi, a spider roll, and I ordered a lychee tea with light sugar. If this were a place in my home town, I'm not sure I would have been happy with the portions, as they are quite small. Coming into a tourist city, I feel like this was awesome. It's hard to go to small towns and finding restaurants with good food, so this was refreshing for me! The food was good. Small portions, but everything was pretty fresh and tasty. The fried rice was a little older tasting. There were hard bits of rice, but flavor was on point. The lychee tea is made of a syrup I guess, but they were kind enough to let me choose the sugar level. It wasn't too sweet and that's the highest compliment you can get from an Asian, lol. Anyways, great place to drop in for a meal!

I'm writing this review with a heavy heart, as I'm still trying to process the utter disappointment that was my experience at New York Teriyaki in Page, AZ. I've been craving authentic Japanese cuisine for weeks, and was thrilled to stumble upon this restaurant in the middle of nowhere. But oh, the disappointment.

First of all, the menu was a joke. I mean, seriously, who names a Japanese restaurant "New York Teriyaki"? It's like they're trying to be something they're not. And don't even get me started on the food. I ordered the ramen, expecting a rich, savory broth and a hearty bowl of noodles. But no. What I got was a bland, watery soup with a few sad noodles floating in it. I mean, seriously, this was not ramen. This was just...soup. With noodles.

And don't even get me started on the flavor. Or lack thereof. I mean, where was the depth? The complexity? The umami? It was just...nothing. I was so looking forward to a delicious, satisfying meal, and instead I got a bland, uninspired mess.

I'm still trying to wrap my head around how a Japanese restaurant could fail so spectacularly. I mean, it's not like they were trying to reinvent the wheel here. Just make some good, authentic Japanese food, and people will be happy. But no. They had to go and ruin it.

Needless to say, I will never be back to New York Teriyaki. What a waste of time and money. If you're looking for real Japanese cuisine, keep driving. This place is a total...

Absolutely horrible experience dining here. The servers were too busy to bring our food on time, and the entire service felt rushed and disorganized. The Korean boss was shockingly rude, not only to us but also to his own employees. We didn’t even get water until we specifically asked for it, which should be a basic part of any dining experience.

The seafood Ramen was incredibly disappointing. It only had a few pieces of seafood—just two mussels, one shrimp, and one crab leg—all for the outrageous price of $20.95. Totally not worth it. Even in a city that is famous for expensive living cost, like Boston or New York, $20.95 can definitely get you nine shrimps! To top it all off, they didn’t even bring out our appetizer until after we had already finished our meals.

To make things worse, we weren’t able to pay at our table. Instead, we had to go to the front desk to complete the payment, where we were forced to choose a tip option on a payment terminal. Before I could select anything, it automatically proceeded with a 20% tip by default. When I asked to correct this, the boss responded rudely and even muttered something unpleasant in Korean, which I didn’t understand but could tell was not respectful.

This was hands down one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had, and I wouldn’t recommend this...

If you want burnt food and a looonnggg standing wait (even better if you're pregnant!) then go right ahead. We ordered take out the first week after they opened. We were disappointed that the food was burnt. We decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and try again. Sadly, things didnt get any better. I called an hour ahead and when I got there, the food was still not ready & the waiting area was crowded (social distancing out the window, a little worrisome when you're pregnant). The owner told me its 10min wait (after calling ahead, the top of the hour). I said okay, no problem. Over 30 min passed after my arrival (after ordering in way advance) and she just tells me they're cooking my food now. Im like what?! Why would you lie to me, have me stand in this crowded area, and my food isn't even ready? I know she clearly sees a pregnant woman standing there for quite some time. The food was overcooked, dry and stale. It was a complete waste of time and money. I would have requested a refund if it were just my order. EPIC FAIL of a restaurant. They didn't serve sushi, and its been 3 weeks since opening. DON'T GO THERE. POOR QUALITY FOOD, POOR SERVICE. Feel sorry for those people who were waiting for 20min behind me, only to be told there is a 40min wait for them to be seated (after frickin...
