The service in this hotel is terrible ! It’s a hotel with the worst service in many past years for me
Let me feedback on the hotel itself first.
Comfort Inn Page at Lake Powell, looks pretty new. Check in was smooth and staff at reception is friendly and even gave us some recommendations when we asked for Asian Food. Quality of pillows is less than desire and bed sinks a little, not the most comfortable one for a hotel standard.
now the bad experience we had. We were scheduled to check out the next day April 9th to join a canyon tour at 11am. as the tour start point is near the hotel, we asked the reception staff on the check out day at about 9.15am, if we could store our luggages at their store when we are out on our tour. We explained that we do not feel safe to keep luggages in our car attended. A male staff at the reception welcomed us with a big smile, reassuring us that we are welcome to store our luggages with them till our tour ends in the afternoon. at about 10.10am, we went with our 6 luggages but no one were at the reception desk. There was a male staff, about 5ft 9, cleaning the area opposite the reception. We politely told him we need our luggages stored. He told us that we can’t do that. he claimed that he has no store room to store them. I explained that we just asked his colleague less than an hour ago but he insisted that he can’t do it for us. We were so surprised that we were being conned into believing they could safekeep our luggages for a few hours. We asked to talk to the staff we spoke to earlier or their manager. He said he is the only one there and he is the highest authority in the hotel then. as he is wearing a mask, we were not sure if he was the same guy we spoke to earlier. anyway, we asked if we could do a late check out, even paying for it. he said the hotel is fully booked and we are not able to do that. His attitude is so bad as if he wanted to tell us to F off. * I just realized I can still book a room today from all booking platform so this guy is lying when he said the hotel is fully booked. There was no one else in the hotel that we could approach on the matter. what worst was when i requested for his name, he just refused to tell us. We were devastated and lost of what we could do then. I am a frequent traveler and this is the first time I met such an unfriendly and unhelpful hotel staff in American soil ! we end up keeping our luggages in our car and being worried the safety of our belonging the entire period of our tour. If the staff earlier in the morning could have told us that they can’t store our luggages, we would have time to think of alternatives. I would not recommend to stay in this hotel, with staff who doesn’t honor their words and not being helpful with request for their guest. there are plenty of hotel around the area, i will not consider them again. In fact, i will think hard to even consider other comfort...
Read moreAbsolutely everything was horrible. I reserved a room online through choice hotels. When we got there, my mom went in to check us in because I am disabled. The lady at the front desk who looked of foreign decent or Native American and short in stature (just trying to describe her since we didn't get a name), was so rude and told my mom that I had to come in since I had put my credit card down. I proceeded to go to the front desk and she was extremely rude while verifying my information and I asked to see a room. She then told me to go ahead and confirm my stay, I asked her a second time to see a room and she told me I had to confirm my reservation. I asked her "so to see a room to make sure it's clean I have to confirm, I'm not doing that until I see a room". She then got more of an attitude and said our room was cleaned but gave me a key finally to check it out. I went to the room and checked the bathroom first which had small hairs all around the inside of the tub!! I went back to see her and said "this room is disgusting and needs to be recleaned since there is hair all inside the tub". She seemed in shock that the room was dirty, I asked to see an additional room since that was unacceptable. I viewed a second room and on examination of the bathroom only and a quick view of the room, it seemed to be ok for the night. After FINALLY checking in, I was able to look around the room more. This room had STAINS on everything! The white curtains, towels, and sheets on the bed had disgusting stains all over them!! Even the duster on the bed had stains! We had the "DO NOT DISTURB" on the door, the cleaning lady KNOCKED ONCE (meaning a single knock, not a couple knocks in a row) and didn't give us a chance to answer and WALKED RIGHT IN!!!! THIS IS ABSOLUTELY AN INVASION OF PRIVACY!!!!!! The breakfast might as well been non existent, there was barely any options. Checking out was a middle aged man either Indian or Native American and average height and build. We told him how horrible our stay was and he couldn't have CARED LESS!! I hope NO ONE will let them have their money, absolutely RUDE and DISGUSTING!!! We went across the street to an incredibly accommodating, spotless, and amazing staff hotel at...
Read moreFront desk reception was very good in check in , that’s why giving 1 star. For all following feedback , this place would deserve 0 star. Bed sheets were dirty during arrival with fresh food oil trace-marks when we got in. We were tired with travel, so thought let it be. Bath-Tub and Sinks were not clean during check-in arrival. Had soap and hair, not cleaned properly, bad house keeping. The room service team were knocking at our room since 8 am even though the checkout time was at 11 am. Dispite multiple requests and also with DO NOT DISTURB sign on the door knob, house cleaners did not stop knocking at interval of 30 mins. They were not dressed as house cleaners ( old Indian decent couples), and upon interaction discovered they do not speak English. No wonder they did not know the sign on the door!! Mostly this gave 0 star feedback for The resident manager there(looked Mediterranean origin and with a small baby girl ) who was very disrespectful, and did not know how to communicate with guest of the hotel. Details: My father-in-law mistakenly brought the tv remote in his pocket ( trying to hide from grandkids wanting to watch tv all the time). After check-out, he discovered the remote in his pocket, rushed back to the front desk, informed about the situation , room number and apologized for mistake (other person than the Mediterranean looking manager) and came back to our car. The Mediterranean guy came out and knocked in our car window to my father-in-law and asked mockingly , “Excuse me, what am I supposed to do with this remote?”. I apologized for thinking he was a hotel guest and my father in law gave the remote to him by mistake. Later my in-law informed he returned it to front desk and not to this guy. The medwtwrian guy revealed he was the resident manager, which made me furious, and i exclaimed, then it is your duty to return the remote to the room. He kept on sating this is not correct, so i said , Dude if that is a trouble, i will drop it to the room . He rushed back and said, i am not your Dude. My father in law to calm the situation said i am sorry to him and he was like , see , see, do you understand, how it is done. He...
