I don't believe I have ever written a review of anything in my life, but this place was so bad, that I feel it an injustice to future customers if I don't. My wife and I were staying at the hotel across the street, and we decided to just walk over and grab a slushie and some chicken nuggets a sundae and a cup of water and sit outside. We placed our order online due to them having special incentives such as 50% off drinks. After we ordered, and were sitting there, one of the employees came out with a copy of our receipt in his hand, saying that they couldn't make the nuggets because they were not able to fry anything, and they couldn't make the lime-ade slushie, because they ran out of slushie mix (I was under the assumption that making it a slushie just means the same ingredients you use to make a lime-ade are just now partially frozen), they couldn't make the sundae for some reason that he was unsure of, but he reassured us that they could fulfill the order for the cup of water. My wife said that since they couldn't make the sundae, that she would just take a regular vanilla cone. I asked him if they were able to just make a regular lime-ade, and he said they could, because it was just sprite with lime in it. At this point, I'm just thirsty and want something resembling a lime-ade, so I told him that would be fine. We inquired about getting a refund for the other items which we had already paid for, and he asked us if we just wanted them to refund the amount to the card, or if we preferred cash. I told him that we preferred cash (judging by their incompetence with being able to complete everything else, I doubted their ability to make certain that funds were put back on my card). He says ok, great, no problem. A few minutes later, he comes back empty handed and says, hey, thanks for coming by, I appreciate you stopping in, but we aren't able to fulfill any of your orders at this time, and I refunded the money back to the card because it was for the total order, and not just an individual item. (I wasn't sure what relevance that had on the situation). I just sat there speechless. Never before have I been anywhere where they have not been able to fulfill my order, and I'm not talking about one thing, such as they ran out of swiss cheese or something for a burger...BUT THE ENTIRE ORDER?! During our recent stay in Page, Arizona, my wife and I decided to grab a quick breakfast before embarking on our hike in Antelope Canyon. Unfortunately, the nearby McDonald's was not an option, so we settled for Sonic, which had only one car in the parking lot. Little did we know that this choice would lead to a highly unsatisfactory experience.
Upon arriving at the drive-thru, we waited patiently for the attendant to address us. However, no response came through the speaker, so we proceeded to the window, assuming it was out of order. To our surprise, the lady at the window informed us that the speaker was functioning properly. Regrettably, we hadn't given her a chance to answer us.
She informed us that there were three orders ahead of ours, but we were fine with waiting. However, what followed was a painfully slow ordeal, with our order taking an eternity to be fulfilled despite being the only car in line. As time passed, a line started forming behind us, and eventually, the people behind us decided to leave. Before they departed, they even asked us if the establishment was open, and we reluctantly confirmed while expressing our frustrations.
It became apparent to us that Sonic in Page, Arizona, suffers from poor management and an inefficient service system. It is disheartening to witness such a lack of organization and disregard for customers' time. Compared to McDonald's, whose drive-thru service is renowned for its efficiency, Sonic falls far short.
Based on our experience, I strongly advise others to steer clear of this Sonic location. If you value prompt service and a hassle-free experience, it would be best to avoid this particular establishment. With the current level of service, it is doubtful that they will survive for long. Consider this a warning, and save yourself the frustration by seeking alternative dining options...
Read moreExtremely disappointed! I am convinced that this location does not care to have any repeat customers. I ordered 2 of their grilled cheese sandwiches. This is about the simplest food item possible to cook. No one could mess that up… right? Well this Sonic proved that wrong. Opening up the first grilled cheese I was disappointed to see that neither side had been buttered, or even grilled! Literally it looked like they put cheese between two pieces of bread and microwaved it to melt it! They left the “grilled” out of the grilled cheese. Gross. The second grilled cheese had an end slice of bread and was just as bad as it seemed it also skipped getting grilled. Add worse to worse, they were also out of ketchup that evening. And the milkshakes came runny. It wasn’t very busy so no excuse there. We had brought the food back to the hotel before checking it which was a big mistake. Check your food before you leave. On the positive side, they were quick to take our order and deliver the food to the car at one of the drive in stalls.
