Terrible service. My girlfriend and I went in yesterday to shop for earbuds. We checked online reviews on some and decided to get Sony brand. I went to the front of the store and asked an employee that we needed assistance over at the Sony earbuds area and she called in on her radio for help. I told her I'll be waiting in that area. So we wait for 10 minutes and no one shows up so I head back, meanwhile other employees see us but move on to whatever they're doing. I'm a bit frustrated so I walk back to the front and I see the same lady earlier notice me and tries again on her radio. She gives me no update, nothing at all, walks around a little. I walk back to my girlfriend thinking that maybe someone will come now because of the employee. We wait 5 minutes and I'm even more frustrated, this whole experience is just weird that we're not being helped and there's no urgency on helping us since we've been waiting for a some time. I walk back to the front and the lady employee is gone, replaced by her lead I'm guessing because he was wearing a black shirt. So I walk to him and ask if I could get some help. He said sure and then a new customer came into the store so the lead employee told me to wait while he questioned the new walk-in customer. I say okay, I'm feeling disrespected, I have been waiting for service and now I have to wait longer after someone who just came in? The lead employee notices this so he stops questioning the new customer and starts to ask for my name. I give my name and then he asks for my phone number. I didn't have my phone on me at the time because I left it at home, I didn't want to be bothered by it because it was an evening just for my girlfriend and I. I didn't tell him I didn't have my phone, only that I didn't want to give him my phone number. He says how are they going to find us in the store. I say we've been waiting at the Sony earbuds for 15 minutes and he proceeds to tell me to calm down. His assumptions and lousy customer service has me frustrated but I say nothing more since it seems he's trying to talk over me and not help me. All I want is the Sony earbuds. He begins to describe me on his radio in a rude tone, I keep my mouth shut. He said someone will come help I say OK and leave back towards my girlfriend. I update her on what happen and we wait for a couple minutes and then I walk back to an area so that he can see that I'm still waiting. An employee comes up to me, I saw her come in the store while I first started talking to the lead employee, and she proceeds to help us. I'm tired of this experience and just want to go. We purchase the earbuds not noticing the box is dented. They are supposed to be a gift so I'll be returning it today.
This staff needs retraining. I understand that times right now may be hard but treating people like human beings should be standard. I work at the canteen in the hospital of Veteran Affairs in West L.A. and I've my fair share of frustrated people on a daily basis but it doesn't give me any right to treat them unfairly.
Beware of an older age employee wearing a black shirt with white hair...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDO NOT RECOMMEND BUYING A COMPUTER AT BEST BUY - Exercise caution when purchasing a computer from Best Buy. In 2021, I bought an iMac (Apple) from their store for the full price of $2,100, specifically intended for music recording. I soon encountered significant lagging issues, and the CPU performance was inadequate. in this model software and operating system was no longer in production This purchase was made based on the recommendation of a sales representative at Best Buy.
After 1.5 years, I opted to upgrade due to the persistent problems I faced. It was then that I learned I had been sold a model from 2017, which was already "considered obsolete" and over 5 years old at the time of my purchase, despite being presented as a new model, 2021. I was misled, lie to just to make a sale.
as a consumer, this product never should have been offered to me as "new top of the line stock", This computer should be marked down and make up. "discontinued" make the consumer aware of the transaction before it takes place in this model software and operating system was no longer in production "discontinued" longer being actively manufactured or sold by the APPLE IMAC company, typically due to outdated hardware, lack of compatibility with newer software, or the introduction of significantly superior models in the market, making it less desirable for consumers to purchase.
NOTE: When I attempted to trade in my computer two years later at Apple, I was informed that they could not accept it as a trade-in because the model was classified as obsolete. They clarified that at the time of my purchase from Best Buy 2021 , this model was already outdated, and no longer in production, the operating system is no longer in use. even on Best Buy website they won't take this as a trade-in!
Apple advised me to return to Best Buy and request a full fund, as I had been sold an obsolete unit at full price!
It is crucial to obtain the production overview, which reveals the actual manufacturing date of the model, rather than relying on the misleading information provided by the sales representative.
Upon my request to engage with a manager at Best Buy in Palmdale, I was unfortunately denied, experiencing a lack of direct assistance. I am pursuing a full refund for the complete amount, and I am prepared to return this iMac, as I feel that misleading information was provided during the sale of this unit.
NOTE: It is important to note that the response from Best Buy, as indicated below, is misleading. It gives the impression that they have taken action on my behalf; however, their request is merely for me to subscribe to their mailing list or the readers. At this point, no manager has contacted me about this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI drive to Best Buy at this location every week. It is one of my favorite stores, that being said, to write a bad review in here means this is happening all the time. Im just saving you a lot of time here to help out next time you make a purchase here, start by downloading the Best Buy app, feels more like a person than the staff.
If you don't know what you are looking for, don't bother asking for it, have you ever been alone in the desert? Me neither but I bet that is exactly what it feels like, but maybe if it is your lucky day, someone is gonna ask if you need help finding something, point at it and walk away. There is literally no one on the floor and if they are, they're busy. Today was the first time in 2 years someone was actually rude before i get to finish what I was going to say, employee asked me to get a ticket at the front, like if the store was packed, the store was dead. This guy just walked away after i said i just wanted to see if they had a usb-c extension. The front guy was not rude but not friendly, if you're going to be at the front, have the patience to be inviting when people ask you questions.
As a person who applied for this kind of job, specifically this location and getting rejected because they "filled in" the position, is disappointing and does not make sense, because:
This place is understaffed, or they take long breaks They are NOT approachable Some of them don't even know where things are or don't have any knowledge of the product.
I know every corner of this store because of this reason. I just wish I could see their interview videos because I don't understand how the company would hire them, you have to be a total hipocrite to answer the interview questions correctly (first part of the application proccess is a video) and treat customers very poorly, most cases not even noticing them. Best Buy, do better. End of rant....
