I shop at Sprouts because I have a lot of food allergies. I really appreciate being able to buy gluten free fruit pies from Maine for example. My son loves the gluten free frozen dumplings and pot stickers that just arrived. The pre-made gluten free non-frozen cupcakes and cakes are great too. We also get gluten free breaded fish sticks, chia quinoa chips, and dairy-free soy-free salad dressing. 99% of that list are foods that we cannot buy anywhere else... and we deeply, deeply appreciate being able to have something to eat. Sadly with my very long list of allergies - there still is not enough options for me to eat, but my son is having a blast trying all sorts of new things. If this was our only experience at Sprouts in Palmdale, it would rate a 4/5.
However, after my last visit, I have a life-threatening complaint about this store. On my last visit, there was a worker peeling, chopping, and serving orange slices at the entrance door. I have a severe allergy to oranges. To my horror, there is no second entrance/exit - only one! So there was no way for me to leave that store without having to pass by something that could kill me. I mentioned to the check-out staff that I was severely allergic to oranges and if there was any other exit and they said there was not. So I had to hold my breath, make sure the worker was not actively peeling or chopping anything so not a single drop could touch my skin, say a prayer, and time it just right to run full speed out the door with my shopping cart. Luckily I already had antihistamine in my body to prevent an allergic response and i had EPI in case I did... but that was not acceptable.
Sprouts carries foods for those of us who have allergies... and therefore Sprouts should NEVER serve food samples or have anything strongly scented at their one and only entrance/exit door because you know people with allergies are going to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had the pleasure of being helped by Veronica during my recent visit to Sprouts, and I can honestly say she is an outstanding employee. Her knowledge of vitamins and supplements is exceptional she explained the benefits, differences, and best options for my specific needs in a way that was both clear and easy to understand. No other associate Iāve encountered has matched her expertise and helpfulness.
Veronica didnāt just give generic answers; she took the time to listen, asked thoughtful questions, and guided me toward the best choices for my health goals. She even walked with me through the store, all while assisting other customers, to make sure I found every supplement on my list. Her professionalism, patience, and genuine desire to help made the experience not only informative but also enjoyable.
Itās rare to meet someone in retail who combines deep expertise with such a friendly and approachable attitude. Sprouts is lucky to have her, and Iāll definitely be coming back for her advice in the future. Thank you, Veronica, for going above and beyond Iāll see you again soon. As a customer, I truly value knowledgeable, attentive service when Iām spending my hard-earned money, and Veronica delivered that in every way no other associate and I repeat no other...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI love the products and associates at Sprouts. I'm delighted to have groceries nearby I trust and enjoy. HOWEVER; I ran into an advertising issue on a delivery. The ad clearly stated salmon $7.99, 50Ā¢ oz. When delivery brought me 4oz, I showed the Lancaster manager the error on my next visit. He refused to honor the ad, with the guards support. I was flabbergasted. It was a clear violation of an advertised price. It was not a big issue. I was thinking refund, credit or 3/4lb of salmon as described. The manager was hostile, ignorant of what a pound is, belligerent hiding behind a very large guard, as if intimidating me. Such nonsense when they were so clearly uninformed and ignoring truth in advertising. I was irate and rude and have since been thrown out of the store; because of their own ignorance! Headquarters is supporting these workers somehow. Refusing to honor advertised prices. I'm dumbfounded about what grounds they are standing on. The federal govt has been contacted. The state has been contacted. And a lawyer. So idiotic. A pound of salmon, and all this nonsense. It gets down to principal and respect for the consumer. Both missing this...
