I spend 100's of dollars at Tilly's yearly online. Today 6.3.2024 I visited this Palmdale location with my girlfriend. My girlfriend, a paying customer tried on various pieces of clothing in the dressing room while I sat outside for her. There was a heavier set white with glasses running the dressing rooms. He kept walking away from his post and talking on his head piece. My girlfriend takes time trying on her clothing because again, it is what we are PAYING for. After her being in there sometime another associate began making her presence known to me walking by constantly, talking on her ear piece and tapping a scrapper she was pretending to use on the trashcan sat directly next to me. She was a lighter Latina with dark curly hair, I'd assume late 30's. Once my girlfriend had gotten out of the dressing room the one in charge of running it was yet again no where to be found. So, my girlfriend began putting the items she did not want onto the rack that was in the area. It wasn't until then that he and the woman popped back up. We made our way to the front to purchase what she was keeping and the woman very LOUDLY on her headpiece says "their heading up front towards the exit right now". We came in with NO large bags/ purses and virtually nothing on our persons. The woman then approached my girlfriend and stopped her in her tracks asking her "are you going to get that stuff? So I can place it up front for you, get those hands of yours empty" while putting on a fake laugh. I this point I knew we were being profiled. As the items were being paid for that associate lingered by watching as if she was waiting for our card to decline. As a manager is retail myself this upset me beyond words and made me so disappointed. I understand protecting your companies assets and keeping an eye out for theft, but there is right and wrong approaches to this. They had no issue letting in a teenage boy with his backpack on to change a shirt but began making assumptions of us off of what premises? We contacted the manager of this store over the phone who claimed his name was Austin and had barely gotten back from lunch and refused to give any detail of the employees we asked names for . So is there no other manager in charge while the only one scheduled is on lunch? I don't believe that, considering that would be a massive lawsuit if anything were to happen in that span of 30 minutes. He claimed that the associate was only trying to attempt to serve us with "great customer service". If that was the case customer service would have been given to us from the minute we walked into the store, which we didn't receive. Maybe Tilly's needs to consider training their associates on ACTUAL customer service and de escalation than allowing a circus of a store like this to continue its operation. And if the associate who attempted to react as though we were stealing really isn't a supervisor herself, Tilly's has a lot of lawsuits coming up against them. Read moreThe manager at this AV location has really bad customer service, she’s very snotty and rude and doesn’t seem to care about her customers, I didn’t get her name but she’s short, skinny and always has long nails, which I complemented her on and got a snotty response. Aside from this, the employees at the register are very nice but they never seem to know anything when I get to the registers they always have to wait on a manager which takes a long time for her to come up to the register to answer a simple question that every employee should already know. Read moreWe stopped by at Tillys in Antelope Valley Mall after work by for a pick up for a backpack we ordered online earlier today. We got to the store at 6:54 pm and they already had the doors locked and not allowing people inside anymore. I said just picking up and they said the register were closed already. They still had a customer being ringed up in a register. The associate asked the Manger we were just picking up and no money was involved because it was already paid online and he said no that they were already closed. By this time it was 6:57 pm and the store advertised they close at 7:00 pm. It seemed more like the manager just wanted to leave early. Bad customer service before the...
